DOS is my FAVE bar!!its my "go to" spot! I always feel more than welcome there. I love that I can show up in my sweatpants on a weeknight or I can come there on a weekend night and rock all night!! Pete is by far my favorite bartender in all of new york. He serves my drinks really well and is a great coversationist! Go to DOS and tell pete I sent you!!

Best bartender

by CSMobileUser

Clearly who ever is complaining about this bartender is overly sensitive and lame. Learn to appreciate the charm of the neighborhood bar. Dos is the best bar around for high quality people. If you don't get it u don't belong so please stay away if u can't handle it.

best neighborhood bar

by daniellewithredhair

i live around the corner from drop off and it's by far my favorite neighborhood hangout. there's always a good vibe flowing from the second i walk in. the fact that dogs are allowed in the bar make it 1000 times more awesome than it already is! pete is the best bartender there. after a long day at work, a drink and 25 jokes from pete leave me feeling much better about the next day to come. he's actually my favorite bartender in the whole city. maybe the whole world actually.

  • Pros: awesome beer selection, dogs in the bar and pete

Bartender was a brat

by Funky1776

I have been there many times over the past year and usually it fine. Election night was a disaster. The bartender (short guy with a beard who obviously has a Napoleon complex) was very clear about his disdain for politics The crowd was very into it, but he wasn't. Oddly enough, he claimed to have been the one throwing the party (if you hate football, why would you work the Super Bowl?). He was obnoxious, he took away drinks before they were finished, threatened a few patrons, refused to put the volume on, changed the channel, and was generally surly and a brat. At one point he and he even gave me $%#&@ for not drinking alcohol!

I have worked in food service for years, and I guarantee if the owner was there, he would have been fired on the spot. I was one of those who left, and am not sure if I will ever return. We went across the street to Common Ground where we had an excellent rest of the evening.

I hate to be hatin', but they really blew it.

by iurtgoewiruhfblewrughfole

I live in the neighborhood, so when they first opened I was hoping to find a new local. The place never seemed to develop much personality, but then I went in the elections night because they advertised that they were having an "election party". The atmosphere was great, and then suddenly the bartender switches off the sound an pumps up some obnoxious music. Everybody complained. The more people complained the more obnoxious he got, threatening to put on Fox news, and generally being nasty. Half the people walked out to a bar across the street! Seriously, BS.

This place survives off weekend Jersey girls (no offense). The neighborhood has much better bars.

  • Pros: its a bar. in E. Village.
  • Cons: nasty bar tender, bad beer selection

Fantastic Beer Place

by jlavezzo

A great selection of domestic and foreign beers on tap served in real 20 oz. pints. All but 2 of the selection are 3 dollars at happy hour which lasts till 8 PM. In addition to US microbrews, there is British, German, Dutch, Czech and Belgium beers on the night I was there. Also a great selection of other drinks. Friendly place, great staff and plenty of well designed space. This is the neighborhood?s best.

Lots of fun.

by foggyone

Best night i've had in a bar in years. The beer was flowing the juke box rocking which was pretty awesome. The social scene was fantastic- Cute guys!! I appreciated the service and didn't have to wait too long for a drink eventhough the place was rampantly busy. I also liked the fact that the bartenders bought me a couple of drinks "for being such a lush"- cheeky but definitely appreciated. I'll be back very soon.

  • Pros: Great selection of beer!
  • Cons: I think i drank all of them.

Cool hangout with great beer.

by flydoggie

Great bar- nice and spacious. Superb Juke box with a great mix of Rock classics, cool Brit pop and indie Rock. Incredible selections of beer. There must have been a gazillion to choose from. We girls like our Beer too! Crowd was well balanced- nice to see this Bar doesn't attract Meatheads. The service was good. The girls behind the bar made me feel welcome while I waited for my friends to show. We all had a blast and will be returning soon for my birthday. Slainte Drop off service!

  • Pros: Amazing selection of Beer, fun crowd
  • Cons: Wish it was in Brooklyn!
