Great time, music, crowd

First time to New York, had to see Pacha as i heard about it when i was in Barcelona Spain. First of all I wanna say that its experience will be different for everyone, i may love it you may hate it for different reasons. Before i came to New York i read many reviews about Pacha and Cielo night clubs and was a bit concerned about getting in, as many say its hard and bouncers are pretty rough at times. When we got there (me and my wife we'r early 30's) at around 23:30 on Friday there were not more than 10-20 people in line and we got to the front in minutes. Guy at the door asked us for ID my wife had her drivers license and i had no ids as i figured i dont look younger than 30 for sure but i guess its not just age that they look at so we were turned away... Came back around same time next day on Saturday, showed our IDs got in got searched pretty thoroughly went upstairs i told the girl i was on a list, she asked what list i said a web list on the web site she gave me 2 green tickets and said to go to pay at the box office 5 feet away, payed $20 for 2 of us, went inside. Smokes are $15 a pack. Right from the start we loved it, music was nice and the more drinks we had it sounded even better. Regular vodka+cranberry $10 i also got Red Devil later on for $14. A bit too crowded but people don't mind when you walk by and may accidentally bump into them. Nice touch go-go dancers... We especially enjoyed watching groups of good dancers who got into circles one by one or in pairs danced in the circle really good. In all we had a blast, didn't wanna leave. When we got a bit tired we just went right into this area where there were bunch or couches with little tables around, i guess some sort of VIP area but i didn't care i just went in and crashed for like 15 minutes, no one said anything.

Live like a King at Pacha!

I finally went to Pacha's although I have been there several times when it was SoundFactory. The DJ was amazing and very into the crowd. The drinks were strong which was suprising since I am use to getting a water-downed overpriced mini drink at so many other places. The place is beautiful and the club will stay open after hours if the crowd and vibes are right! The House music is mesmerizing and you never wnt to leave. Do not be suprised to see a celebrity in one of their many funkadelic trippy rooms! All in all it is a must for any club goer or party monster!

• Pros: Great Club Vibe, Excellent HOUSE DJs, Many different areas!
• Cons: Long wait lines! Espec w/o chicks! Bouncers rob you 2 getin!

I went with my girlfriends on friday night and we loved it! great music and cool ppl. and since we booked thru the Premier List, we got free entry and bottle specials! we'll definitely be back!

• Pros: Example: best croissants in town
• Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Pacha is awesome! The music on all levels were great! I definitely recommend this club. The staff was awesome as well!

Great Music, beautiful women, great Djs

This is a great place to listen to great DJs spin bangin house. Don't even bother to come unless you are on a guest list because the lines are annoyingly long and the security is obnoxious either way. But once inside you will have a phenomenal time.

• Pros: Best Djs, music, and great vibe
• Cons: Rude security

omg! i so0o recomend to go to this place...i went with a group of friends and the music is hot ..we had a great time ! the place in general is a good place to be..i danced my butt off!!! belive me u will have a great time =)

Great club, great dj's, friendly bartenders, but Pacha security is horrible

Pacha is the best house music club in city due to their hosting of the worlds best dj's and all night theme parties. They club doesn't get pumping until around 3 am so don't expect much if you get there before 1. The early crowd is made up mostly tourists who are just there to get drunk. The late crowd is made up of serious clubbers who are there for the music and djs. The energy totally changes at 3 am when the main dj goes on. I went this past weekend to hear Victors Calderone (who was amazing) but I have to say I will have second thoughts about going back to Pacha again. The Pacha security was horrible. They put a downer on the night before you even walk in the door. They are super rude and basically strip search you. I don't mind a pat down, but now they are now grabbing and feeling around your crouch. Thats where I draw the line. I happened to get caught with gum in my pants (not allowed) and they made me feel like I had just committed a major crime and yelled at me. Give me a break. A few weeks ago I would have given this club 5 stars.

• Pros: Great music, great dj's, fun crowd after 3am
• Cons: security: rude, obnoxious and inappropriate searches

Had a GREAT time

Went with a group of friends a few weeks back and had a fantastic time. We all danced our butts off to some great music. The drinks and service were very good. Definitely will be back

not so great- the guy at the door sucked

It is a pretty typical club. The space is not necessarily great. If you are looking for hardcore house dancing after 4am, this works. But I have been to better.

But the experience at the door was very annoying.

First the guy at the entry who is checking the IDs asked us to pay 40$ for each at 4 in the morning. We were a group of of 6 girls and 2 guys.Then my friend somehow managed to get a deal of 10$ per person after talking to another guy at the main entry. (double standard, unfair pricing)

I had a water bottle in my pocket and the guy at the door took the bottle off my pocket and threw it w/out even asking me to throw it . Then I told him, i want to drink it before I get inside as I am thirsty, He blackmailed me saying If I drink it, I am not getting in. So see another nobody w/a big power trip. I understand not letting the water in as I guess we are supposed to buy the overpriced water inside, but how dare he can dictate what I will drink before I get in. I did not say anything since most of my friends already got in and also it is known that people at the doors of this kind of clubs tend to enjoy their "oh so important power of letting people in" little too much.

But I dont want to support this business again by going there.
