User Reviews for Fresh

2 Star Rating: Below Average

I've been a loyal Fresh customer for years now. I absolutely love their products and have no intention to stop using them. That being said, I have to warn other loyal Fresh users away from the 'spa'. In my opinion, it is a waste of time. Having the same products applied by a girl in not a very relaxing setting is not my idea of a spa treatment, especially since I am expected to tip her 20% for what is basically a product demo. It's probably a great choice for people not familiar with the products. You get a free test run then credit for products in the store. I would definitely considering giving this as a gift to someone unfamiliar with Fresh. For those familiar, don't waste your time.

Pros: credit towards Fresh products

Cons: not a very relaxing enviornment, not a spa treatment, nothing you can't do at home, not a true body treatment

Overall, I think Fresh products are great. I do feel a little guilty splurging here though as the products are a little pricey. They're not crazy expensive & I do actually think they're worth the price, but I'm (supposed to be...) on a budget. My facial was lovely & very relaxing. As mentioned by another (stingy in my opinion) reviewer they do not do extractions & that's not only during spa week. They do a bunch of masks, scrubs, treatments according to your skin concerns. It's basically a nice way to try out their products. The staff was super-friendly & very knowledgeable about the products. I would advise anyone to go to the Fresh website to have an idea of what products you might want & their prices ahead of time.

Pros: basically free treatments, lovely space, friendly staff

Cons: upper east side (ha ha)

Strongly disagree with the other review, the Fresh spa is employed by very gracious and lovely folk. I had a pleasant and relaxing experience, lots of wonderful products, didn't feel presured to buy anything extra, nor cheap for only getting the minimum. The upper east side is full of attitude, but I experienced none of it at Fresh...perhaps the last reviewer brought some of her own attitude into the place and felt the result.

I went to Fresh because of the great Spa-Week deal that they have--you get a facial and to pay for it you have to purchase 50 dollars worth of Fresh products. My facial was good, although they don't do steaming or extractions on Spa-Week services, which is kind of lame. And when it came time to purchase my products and my facialist left to attend to another customer, the women working the store was completely obnoxious. She made me feel totally cheap for wanting to spend only 50 dollars (and be warned, everything in the store is super expensive), and didn't know a thing about makeup, coloring, or skin-type. She walked to the other side of the store after every question I asked her, so I kept having to go get her and bring her back to answer product and pricing information, because nothing is listed. She was aloof, snobbish, and just really not nice. There a million fabulous faces to get a facial in this city, and the one I got here was NOT worth the mistreatment. Trust me, find a different Spa Week deal.

Pros: Really great products.

Cons: No steaming or extraction on Spa-Week facials, obnoxious saleswoman.

Exceedingly friendly atmosphere. Went there for a facial and woman did an excellent job. She only used Fresh products on me which was also a great chance to try out products. Sales push is minimal and I am still very happy with the things that were recommended to me.

The uptown location for this Boston-born skin-care retailer is different--you can shop and get spa services.  See the full editorial review.
