First off: I do not work at Common Ground. I have lived in the neighborhood for a few years now and went here for the first time last night. I was very, very happy that I did. It was trivia night, which was a lot of fun. The crowd was perfect: people in their late 20s and early 30s. Not snooty, not too hipsterish, but definitely cool. People would smile and make a space for you if you wanted to squeeze by their chair to order a drink at the bar. The bartenders were efficient and friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. The seating is comfortable and spacious; I didn't have to stand at all. The bar wasn't crowded, but it wasn't empty either - especially considering the crappy weather. It seems like there is a nice, accepting group of regulars. I like that and may just become one of them. And what's wrong with board games?!
Pros: Cheap & good drinks, good crowd, good service
Cons: Some trivia questions were impossible!
