Great Doctor

Another positive one!

I traveled a long way to come here on the advice of my dermatologist, to get Moh's surgery on my scalp. The large area, and difficulty of closing the wound made me seek the very best care available.

Nobody can every really know if anything or anybody is the very best, but I will vote for Dr. Shelton, and the plastic surgeon, Dr. Brown as the best, by far, that I have ever been involved with. I respect anybody who takes the time and committment to become a physician......But the extra effort on top of that to excel in every part of your practice and make it an art is what causes me to rate these guys at the very top.

Specifically: Time given to preparation and consult, Attention to detail, coordination of both Dr.'s, follow up, and always cheerfully taking questions. Careful, perfectly planned conservation of every bit of non-cancerous tissue, with a calm, relaxing demeanor, too.

I notice that internet reviews of many things I'm interested in researching seem to fall into two categories: Negative ones by people that are angry, and fake 100% positive ones. In other words, I, like many, don't totally trust glowing reviews, since they're practically anonymous. I consider the considerable trouble and expense of travelling thousands of miles worth it, for me, due to the excellent results.

Dr. Ron Shelton And His Staff And My MOHs Surgery

Several weeks ago I was diagnosed with a form of skin cancer on my face which required immediate MOHs surgery......and I was recommended by three doctors to Dr. Ron Shelton for the surgery, which I underwent early this morning.

From the moment I began speaking with Dr. Shelton's staff several weeks ago....and through the surgical procedure today...and the followup telephone call from the doctor this evening, I have been treated professionally, courteously, and in a very friendly manner.....and as importantly, the Doctor and his staff were extremely thorough in preparing me for today's surgery....and for the recovery. I knew what to expect which greatly reduced my stress level.....and Dr. Shelton himself was what you want from a surgeon....experienced, knowledgible, conscious of my fears, genuinely concerned about my outcome, and a painless practitioner who kept my physical discomfort to a minimum!

My cancer is gone this evening. I have little pain....and some slight swelling. The experience has been outstanding....and I wanted to take a few minutes to write about it because most people, if they are to write about an experience, do so to complain, and not to praise. Dr. Shelton and his staff deserve to be complimented for how they have treated me.

the man is the best,most wonderful doctor I know

This guy has magic for hands........and a persona to match...you walk out 10 years younger,and the courtesy and professionalism in the entire office is the best you can imagine..........always accomodating, prompt and very considerate of your time and attention......I and my wife wouldnt even think of using anyone else !!!

A visit to a real pro in a very big city

At my age i have been to many doctors and many variety of personalities however i have just met the best in NY.Dr. Shelton is quite unique very professional and a really nice guy. It is hard to put all of these qualities into one person however it is true with Dr. Shelton. A visit to his office is a visit to a real artist.I will be a patient as long i need his services.

One stop facility for all your skin care needs...

From the moment you walk in the door, you know that this is no ordinary doctors office. I've been coming to see Dr. Shelton for years and it never ceases to amaze me how acommodating everyone is and how well his office is run. The real treat, however, is Dr. Shelton himself. He takes the time to listen to your issue(s) and is extremely knowledgeable about your treatment options. He's treated me for just about everything related to the skin and i've been thrilled with the results each time. After contemplating Fraxel for years, i finally went through with it and to my absolute amazement and pleasure I love the results. My pores look smaller and my brown spots have almost completely disappeared...and, this was only my first Fraxel treatment. I'm actually looking forward to my next Fraxel treatment. Needless to say, I couldn't recommend him more!

Thank You Dr. Shelton!

As far as my teenage years, I struggled with serious acne issues. This continued into adulthood with embarrasing acne scarring. Out in public and taking photos were very, very difficult for me. I felt that people were questioning why would someone ruin their skin that way. This led to a deep depression. I was afraid to go see a skin specialist with the fear of being judged by the staff as well. After finding the courage, I decided to do a great deal of research on Dermatologists in my area. As important as this was for me, I needed to make sure that I check background history, experience and credentials of who I would be connecting with. I decided to meet with Dr. Shelton. As soon as I arrived at the location I felt a calm - which was truely unexpected - feeling with the staff. They welcome me with no judgement and no surprise to my situation, what a relief for me. Meeting Dr. Shelton for the first time, I knew right away that my choice was a good one. He felt my struggle and immediately was patient and understanding. After his great advice, I decided to start Fraxel treatments and this was the best choice I've made regarding my situation. After my first treatment alone, I had a lifted feeling - as well as my confidence level - to walk down the streets with my head held high and decided to loose the hat - which I've worn all the time to cover my face. I now know that I made the perfect decision to seek Dr. Shelton's expertise. I owe him my life and can't wait for my next treatment! I can't thank him enough! On my way to my family reunion with my camera in hand!

Dr Shelton handled my mole excision with great expertise and care. He seems not only extremely knowledgeable and skilled but genuinely dedicated to his work and patient care. He and his entire staff were professional, courteous, friendly and understanding and patient. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing.
