By far the most pleasant -- and efficient! -- experience I have ever had buying glasses! I have been wearing glasses nearly every day for 25 years and have purchased many glasses from many many different places. I have spent thousands of hours waiting for personal assistance and trying on frames. At 10/10, I received immediate personal assistance and Ruth was right on the money with a frame! I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. 10/10 mixes the great aspects of optician shops "they way the used to be" with 21st technology -- great personal service; warm, welcoming, professional environment; great selection; and cameras/monitors that allow you to instantly see different frames on your face. Best of all, the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend 10/10.

I've never been to such a friendly, professional, and overall FANTASTIC eyecare retailer before! Their eye exam is twice the price of what I paid here in Queens, but Dr. Rosenberg and his staff is several hundred times better than ANY eye doctor I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot of them thanks to my family's history of poor eyesight). My appointment was on a Sunday afternoon half an hour before they closed, and they accomodated to me with no hurry at all. Dr. R told me the same thing eye doctors always tell me: "your eyes are getting worse", but he was just SO pleasant and conversational that I did not (and still do not!) have the sense of impending doom that I usually get when I walk out of an optometrist's office. I know I needed new contacts, and I'll need new glasses too - I haven't made any plans to purchase them as money is tight. I got no sales pressure at all, and when I called them today to ask for a copy of my prescription to be faxed over, and they did with NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I'm looking forward to my follow-up appointment later this week, and I'll be recommending 10/10 to all the 4-eyes I know!!
Pros: SO friendly and professional!
Cons: none at all!

Pretty place, nice people work there, very interesing selection and they have this video screen so I could see what I looked like in the glasses that I tired on. That part was the best. When I take off my glasses, I'm blind, so I always have to get a friend to help me. Someone at work told me about this touch screen that they use when u try on glasses AND IT WORKS!!!! I picked them up last week and I really like them. NEXT STEP, contact lenses. I trust these people now. They were really nice and they cared about what I got.
Pros: This amazing touch screen to see what you look like in the glasses that you try on
Cons: closed Saturday, but I went on Sunday

Great time at 10/10 Optics. I just moved to NY (love it) and my family eye guy who made my glasses forever is too far away. I was so sad. On the train I saw someone wearing really nice glasses (turns out they were made of wood) and I asked him about them and he said.....'YOU MUST GO...' I went , and they were so much fun and so nice and I think that I can see even better than I did with my old glasses. Thanks Dr. Rozenberg and eveyone for your help. Really!!!!!
Pros: Computer program so I could see what I was trying on. Without my glasses on I'm blind
Cons: Closed on saturday, but no big deal. I went on Sunday.

I went into 10/10 looking for an exact replica of my existing LaFont glasses. Ruth sat down with me for 20 minutes and showed me various styles, and using digital photography, helped me compare the styles until we found something that really complimented my face--and it wasn't exactly the same as my glasses now! She was smart, knowledgable, and kind, and I really loved the glasses she found for me. She's a bit assertive-- sometimes she can get so invested on how good a pair looks on you, that she forgets that you're also looking for a style, what face you want to present to people, but as long as you stick up for what you want, she--and all the employees at 10/10-- are real assets to have on your side. Unfortunately, they didn't carry my insurance, but didn't hesitate to tell me the name and model number of the glasses I liked so I could get them elsewhere. I wish I had been able to buy glasses there to thank them for thier time, kindness, and good taste!
Pros: the digital photography comparison was priceless, staff knowledgable
Cons: didn't carry all insuances

Really nice people helped me get the glasses that I was always afraid to get. They are so cool. I needed to think about it because it was so different from the glasses that I always get, and they wrote the info down and I left to think about it. When I came back.......the optician who helped me actually remembered the frame that she showed me and I knew that it was for me. I'm bringing my partner here. She needs a makeover too!
Pros: This computer moniter so I could compare and contrast the frames that I tried on
Cons: closed saturdays, BUT they were open Sunday.

Hey guys, thanks for sending my postcard to remind me that it was time for me eye exam. I almost forgot that you had moved from 5th Ave/22nd Street to Madison/26th. I cannot believe how nice your new digs are. I mean really, I could just hang out and get my glasses adjusted all day and watch the park view and the people coming in and out. I have been seeing Dr. Rozenberg for my eye exams for years but you always keep it so fresh. Promise me that you'll always be in NYC so I have great place to get my glasses. I love you guys!! (BTW the Shake Shack in the park is such a plus).
Pros: They tell the truth and they have this computer screen so I can see myself try on glasses
Cons: not even one!

My ophthalmologist told me that I couldn't wear my contacts for a few months. I had an infection from my contact lenses and I needed emergency glasses that i could wear to work ASAP. CitySearch lead me to 10/10 OPTICS . I normally would ask a friend for a referral but there was no time. I can't see without contacts and my glasses were old and I need them to drive. I called up the optician there and they were so nice on the phone that I decided to give it a shot. They hooked me up with a great frame, thin lenses and a new coating that makes my lenses look almost invisible. They did this in less than 3 days. I never had glasses that I wore in public that looked nice. I think I look better in them than without them. I can't believe it. THANKS 10/10. I LOVE MY GLASSES ;)
Pros: Great advice, really cool selection, nice staff
Cons: none

I am a physician from California, and I regularly fly into NY to see patients. Whenever I am in town I stop at 10/10 to get all my previously purchased glasses adjusted (I'll only let their opticians touch my specs) and sometimes get something new and terrific. My last pair were OUTSTANDING!!!!! I have never had such light weight glasses. (Ruth, you were right. I got lots of compliments on the color). I don't know how they do it!! The lenses weigh nothing. Dr. Rozenberg said that I didn't need a change of Rx or I'd have gotten more. Thanks guys! You're all the best!
Pros: Open Sundays, great for after brunch visit
Cons: ZERO!
