To Lord Willy's, Geeves

This is by far the finest shop for men's jackets, shirts and suits in Manhattan. A perfect line is walked between classic and dandified. The offerings in their first year of business showed promise but there were some shortcomings. In the second year the products on offer have been nothing short of brilliant. I bought two jackets and numerous shirts this month and plan on raiding the joint again soon. If you want to knock em dead like Beau Brummell this is where to be.
Again, the genius of Lord Willys is its position on the sartorial spectrum. Not another traditional clothier hocking the status quo, and yet careful not to fall for the trendy. Their style is timeless but sleek and smart with a touch of the irreverent.
The previous poster sounds like he should stay uptown at Turnbull. Yawn.
Unless you come off like a snob beware!

Initially I was impressed at Lord Willy?s. When I picked up my shirts, they didn?t fit me properly, I was quickly dismissed. After wearing a shirt, several of my colleagues agreed, it fit wrong. I brought the shirts back and was told they need additional tailoring only to receive a phone call telling me that the shirts were going to be remade. I was thrilled that I was going to be fitted with new shirts. My new shirts had arrived and I still wasn?t thrilled with the fit. I questioned the loose collar and the blousing at the bottom of the shirt only to be quickly dismissed again. Also I was inquiring about a grey military coat but they were busy so I was rushed out the door, they lost a sale on a coat that I was ready to buy. The new shirts they look OK but not like the bespoke I had made from Turnbull and Asser, maybe it?s due to them being made in a shoddy factory in Hong Kong. The fabric feels cheap and wrinkles very easily unless you use a ton of starch when ironing. Beware of the condescending yet patronizing attitude at Lord Willy?s. Maybe it?s because I?m not the typical cocky yuppy customer?
- Pros: Interesting Stlyes and Colors
- Cons: Poor fit, quickly dismissive help, better service at brooks brothers
All rather splendid

This tiny piece of Nolita will be forever England - or what England ought to be. Stylish, witty and urbane Lord Willy manages to temper classic lines with a real sense of humour. Sure it's not for everyone - but then neither is The Gap (and they're trying to be)... my favourite place in the city to spend a booze afternoon (and a small fortune)
- Pros: Clothes with a sense of style
- Cons: Style never comes cheap

My husband and I walked in expecting to buy one shirt and left with a custom made jacket and two shirts (with matching boxers)for him. The couple who own the store are a riot. They are charming and helpful. Great quality and great service.
- Pros: Great service, great quality
Charming Nolita boutique for men with a sense of style--and a sense of humor.

In Short
British accents and fabrics abound at this cheeky home of formal menswear. Be careful not to step on the two Jack Russell Terriers, Levi and Coco, while browsing the selection of limited-edition blazers, silk pajamas, and classic dress shirts sporting playful polka dot patterns or quirky accents like bright buttons in clashing colors. The slim-fit shirts are available ready-to-wear, or custom-made with matching pocket square and boxer shorts.
