I found out about Manhattan Lasik Center through my friend at work who had his eyes done by Dr. Niksarli several months ago. He was thrilled with his results, not to mention the care and service he received there. So, I decided to follow his advice and contact Dr. Niksarli’s office for an initial consultation to see if I qualified. On the day of my eye exam, I must have asked a thousand questions and all of the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. As I also found out, Dr. Niksarli is a surgeon as well as an engineer by training, so he knows the laser technology inside out. He seems to have the most up to date equipment in his office, (at least I have ever seen). My eye prescription was obtained, and my vision with that prescription displayed to me automatically, without asking me a single question. ( By the way that’s the part I hate most with all eye exams. The choices appear to be so close, that I worry I will give the wrong answer.) My vision with that in front of my eyes was crystal clear. When I asked him if I was going to see like that after my LASIK surgery, his answer was “most likely yes!” Well he was not kidding. Next morning after my surgery I indeed saw as well as that, if not better. When I came in for my first day check-up, I read below the 20/20 line without hesitation. In all my years of wearing eyeglasses I was never tested so thoroughly and accurately for my glasses. The day of my surgery I was given detailed instructions on how to take care of my eyes, what to do, and what not to do. I was also given Dr. Niksarli’s personal cell phone number to contact him in case of questions or concerns. That’s what I call dedication and caring. I will recommend this facility to all my friends and family, so that they can also benefit from this great technology and his unique skills

My experience at the laser center was an excellent one. My vision was corrected and it's a fabulous feeling not to need glasses or contacts again. I can see now even better than I did with my glasses or contacts. I don't have to put up with the constant irritation in my eyes from the contact lenses. In the past I was told that because of my astigmatism I should forget about Lasik surgery. My astigmatism was corrected at the same time as my nearsightedness thanks to Dr. Niksarli's skilled hands and great technology. Many of my friends asked me about where I had my surgery done and I have recommended them all Manhattan Lasik Center. I qualified for the no-interest financing plan, which made the whole thing possible for me. I was also very nervous about the whole process before I went there for my initial consultation. Everyone there was so nice and professional, I felt very much at ease and comfortable at the center. All my questions were answered and all my worries were addressed. I am so happy that I was able to build to courage to take the first step and then follow through with the surgery. the surgery itself was painless and quick. The recovery was painfree as well. By the evening time I was able to watch TV and have dinner comfortably as if nothing had happened. The next morning when I returned for my first check-up I found out that I was already seeing 20/20 without any glasses. My vision kept getting better for the next several days. I wish i had it done sooner. Dr. Niksarli you were very reassuring and calming. Thank you to everyone at Manhattan Lasik Center for giving me the gift of sight. I will recommend you guys to everyone.

For one, the staff has been great to me - if I called Sabrina at the front desk was great and of course Thai calmed me down and answered the questions I needed to have answered. Ming makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed which is great! Dr. Niksarli is a really great doctor! He made me feel very relaxed on the day of my surgery. I was very nervous but now my eyes are seeing great. I would recommend Dr. Niksarli to all my friends and family. Dr. Niksarli is a very calming doctor. Thank you for being the doctor you are.

My Experience of having lasik at Manhattan Lasik Center was pretty fantastic. I originally thought that I would walk out of the procedure and be blind for 3 days as I healed. Not only could I almost see right away, within 7 hours I could see well enough to have dinner as normal, and even walk my dog. The next morning, I woke up and although still a little sensitive to light, I could see better than I ever could before. The procedure itself was completely pain free, though I can't say that it wasn't weird. The sensations felt during the procedure can only be described as mildly annoying, much better than I had even hoped for. After the procedure, I could still say that there was no pain, but it felt like I had hair or sand particles in my eyes, and I kept tearing up. I'd say that has to be normal since my eyeballs were just lasered. Your staff members are very professional, and friendly, and even take the time to remember your name. Dr. Niksarli spent more time with me in the exam room answering questions and evaluating me than even my own general practitioner does. Your equipment is state of the art, your office is clean and organized and your video is very informative. It has been about 24 hours since my procedure, and I am already seeing 20/20 and better. I would be happy to recommend your center to anyone, and thoroughly thank you for helping me see better.

I went in for the free lasik consultation after hearing about Manhattan Lasik Center and Dr. Niksarli through my friend who recently had Lasik there and was ecstatic with the results. Following a very thorough, detailed and hi-tech eye exam, I was told by Dr. Niksarli that I qualified for the procedure and was a good candidate. I was impressed by his credentials, experience, and the way he put me at ease. I went through the procedure the very next day. No surprises at all. The surgery lasted about 10 to 15 minutes. Right after the surgery I looked around and was able to see everything. It put a smile on my face! I am very thrilled with my results. Just being able to see across the street clearly is a very wonderful feeling. I will recommend Manhattan Lasik Center , Dr. Niksarli, and his great staff to everyone who wears glasses or contacts. They truly changed my life around. Thanks a million.

My experience at Manhattan Lasik Center and Dr. Niksarli was a Great One! The entire procedure was over really quickly and I didn't feel a thing. My brother came with me for my surgery, and got his eyes done just one week after I did, once he saw how easy it was. He is also now very happy that he had it done; it’s been life changing for him because he has worse eyesight than me. He also just passed his eye-exam at his NYPD entrance qualification exams. This was the easiest decision I’ve ever made! I highly recommend every one even thinking of doing it to just get evaluated and educate themselves on the procedure. Dr. Niksarli is so professional and reassuring with his vast experience in the field. He also has the most advanced technologies to use during the painless procedure. I found his center also to be one of the most affordable in the tri-state area. I would go to him again in a heartbeat. I am now enjoying my 20/20 vision every morning that I wake up and all day long! No more hassles with glasses and contacts. I also recommended them to all my friends and colleagues. Best Lasik in NY!!

On the day of my surgery, I was very nervous. The staff was extremely helpful in answering my questions and clearing my fears. The procedure itself was very quick and painless. Dr. Niksarli explained every step of the procedure as we went through the Lasik process. I was amazed at how quick the procedure was, and even more amazed at the short recovery process. The next day after the procedure, I had perfect vision. I was able to SEE the alarm clock for the very first time! I am extremely happy with the whole process, starting with the initial consultation through the surgery. I would recommend Dr. Niksarli and his staff to anyone thinking about Lasik surgery. Great value and great results!

My fiance and I both got lasik done this past week at Manhattan Lasik Center. I did a LOT of research before doing the procedure and I found Manhattan Lasik the most affordable. I went to TLC first, and they were charging almost $6K per person! Other places I called and meet with were about $3-4K per person. The actual procedure and recovery was very quick and painless. I still can't believe that I woke up the next day and was able to see without my glasses! I still have a little blurriness and halos around lights, but it's only been 3 days from the procedure. I wanted to address the other comments on Manhattan Lasik. Yes, you do have to wait from time to time for your appointment. But I found this was also the case at TLC and other centers. Think about it, its a doctors office and at pretty much all of them, you might have to wait a while for your appointment! Also regarding their sales techniques, these are the same pushy car salesmen techniques used at TLC and the other centers. Their job is to get you to sign up and pay for the procedure. Before going into any lasik office, you need to be aware of and ready for their negotaition tactics. Like they saying they will give you a 1 time discount, of course they inflate their price, they all do. You need you be a smart consumer and know that in advance. Overall, i would recommend Manhattan Lasik to anyone intersted in lasik. They are helpful, the procedure is quick and painless, recovery is fast, and they are the most affordable center in Manhattan (that I found anyways)!. Good Luck!

The office is very busy...as though hes giving away the procedure..the man is obviously an expert but has questionable bedside manner..He has a "negotiator" thai, this guy will go that extra step to get the most money out of you...the initial consult is not free its $250 before you see the dr and only given back if u dont qualify..thai break hippa policy by announcing people's names and saying how they just has a procedure and ask them any questions..very sketchy to make a few extra dollars...dr niksarli is accurate, professional, get the job done, but has no poor personal skills.. his younger counterpart dr bishbaum has better personal skills...his staff is ok but pushy... my procedure I was scheduled for a 12pm procedure didn't go off until 330 pm..oh and dont park across the st that lot is a rip offf..$46 for 4 hours! overall so far so good... i still have halos but itll take time...

Cons: pushy "negotiator", poor bedside manner

My experience at Manhattan Lasik Center has been remarkable. The staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Dr. Niksarli put me at ease while undergoing a seemingly painless lasik surgery. The office is very efficient, from one station to another you are rarely kept waiting uneventfully. I would recommend Manhattan Lasik Center and Dr. Kevin K. Niksarli to anyone loitering to see clear again.
