the lunch specials here are, quite simply, unbeatable.

Good food for casual dining.

The food is always good. The duck soup and fried rice are my fav. Noodle bar is a great place to have in any area. Good food at low price great for this economy.

great food if you don't mind being squashed

This place has some AWESOME food. the singapore noodles are amazing. i would highly recommend it for that reason.

HOWEVER, be advised when you go that there is so little seating that the servers don't seem to mind asking you to move 2 TIMES during one meal to accommodate others. especially at lunch-it is SLAMMED. dinner time might be a little better so i'd recommend maybe going then. prices aren't bad either so for a casual quick bite it's a good choice. just don't expect any ambiance or comfort in the seating. not a place you wanna hang out and chill-it's an eat and go kind of joint.

• Pros: cool location, AWESOME food, usually pretty fast
• Cons: teeny crowded restaraunt, always slammed at lunch time

Excellent spot for casual eats

Oh boy - I went went two friends early on a Saturday evening - seating is sparse, but there was plenty of room at the bar. My friends and I treated the menu like a dim sum-type sharing menu, constantly ordering small plates for sharing. Lovely and frank server made great suggestions and we left extremely content after 90 mns of bullshitting and chomping away.

Can't wait to go back! So many, many great looking items still yet to try...

• Pros: Cheap, delish eats made to order, friendly service
• Cons: Smallish dining area - not that much of a con!

Cute place - great food!

Amazing little place for noodle dishes. The shrimp wonton broth noodles were absolutely to die for. Went with a small group , 4 people, and ate at the end of the counter... it was absolutely perfect for our small group. Can't wait for the next time I'm downtown so I can visit again! And don't go without trying the crab rangoon appetizer- they are amazing with every bite!

• Cons: not good for large groups

Tasty, Clean and Crisp

Takes familiar Chinatown dishes like Roast Pork Noodle soup, and classes them up by using high quality, fresh ingredients.

Very good for a quick bite to eat or take out lunch, and a bit pricier than what you get in C-town, but it's worth it.

• Cons: Price compared to same things in other parts of the city.

Always adding on

something is added on each time we go (atleast 10 times now). The menu has expanded (+$1- $1.50) but still very affordable. The food is tasty and the serving plentiful. The only change I wasnt crazy about was of the server. Since they opened I was accustomed to "The Girl" but now this new server doesnt seem to care about patrons. Anyhoot... make sure to check this place out and bring a bottle!

Great place for lunch!

The soup was delicious, but the seating is very parce! I would not recommend for a large party, but great place to get take-out or have a solo meal.

Great food from a great place

The service was as quick as could be with the food being made right infront of your eyes you saw the food was fresh. While the size of the place makes it hard to enjoy with large group its great for a quick meal or a cheap meal or a really well cooked meal.

Inexpensive noodle bar for a quick fill-up in the Village.

The Scene
Only two small tables augment the long row of bar seats at this simple Village noodle house. Funky Asian posters paper the bar, but all eyes are focused on the chefs who work behind the counter. They fill orders quickly, but their speed can result in confused, albeit friendly, service.

The Food
Give in to the tempting array of appetizers with an order of the hearty kimchee pancakes whose spicy hoisin sauce lifts them above the ordinary, or the moist Tsingtao beer-battered cod with a side of addictive fried cassava chips. A healthy portion of tender roast duck crowns an egg-noodle soup, and even without a cold, the gingery Indonesian chicken soup provides homey goodness. The lime-tinged Bangkok bouillabaisse, however, lacks the desired spice balance. Inventive desserts like the custardy creme brulee topped with candied ginger end the meal on a refreshing note.
