Grape & Grain is a great gem of a place nestled on E. 6th Street between Aves B and C. It' just off the beaten path in the East Village but definitely worth checking out. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the wines they feature and the food is pretty good, especially the pizzas. The atmosphere is that perfect blend of casual yet sophisticated without feeling overwhelming or pretentious. A great place to go with a group of people or for a quiet drink for two. Great place for parties too.
