My first time to Oleg Kaz Salon was today....my Google search on NYC's best hair color and highlights led me to Agata and I am so thrilled.

Agata transformed my long brassy-orange-brown-highlighted hair into the perfect latte brown hair with golden honey highlights...gorgeous!

I felt truly pampered as I was served with hot English breakfast tea, and Agata is a complete professional, it is a wonderful feeling to have a person that knowledgeable doing your hair color and or highlights.

If you need color correction, or just the best highlights you have ever wanted, don't be afraid of all the gorgeous hair you see in the place...Your tired and confused hair will be treated with the utmost respect... and you will walk out with the best hair in NYC!

Pretty bad haircut.

I went in to get my hair cut and I ended up with bangs that I did not ask for and the layers--a basic feature of hair styling today--were choppy and unflattering.

Having been through the reviews, I have noticed that the salon responds to all negative reviews, often indignantly and with some snark. I cannot believe that a place of business would not accept that it makes mistakes and instead attacks those who critique it. A sure sign of insecurity.

Perhaps it was a miscommunication between you and my Stylist, but we will be glad to fix your hair for you to be happy with your style if you come back to us. We DO take our mistakes seriously if there are any and we try to accommodate our customers for them to be happy with our services.

excellent hair color

I've been going to this salon almost every month and I never regret or stay disappointed. The color comes out always amazing and shiny and the stuff there is also very friendly and professional. Out of all salons I've been to this one is the best in my experience. I'm advising all my friends now to go there after getting compliments on my hair color.

A great experience overall, Mayra is the best! Wonderful with color, listening to what client is looking for, and she delivers the best! Everyone in salon is friendly and helpful, and on time.

My girlfriend recommended Olga to me, and it was the best hair cut and style I ever had!! The cut looked great even after I went home and washed it and let it dry natural! This is the second time Olga has cut my hair and I know for sure that I will be coming back to see her in the months to come. I have been receiving compliments left and right, which is something that hasn't really happened before with any other stylist. I would definitely recommend Olga to anyone who wants a fabulous experience.

I discovered Oleg Kaz Salon last week when I needed color correction and they were wonderful.

I came in with 3 different colors in my hair. Agata took me to the chair and started to suggest all the options that I have. Well let me just say AMAZING JOB AGATA!!! But this is not it, Followed Reagan had cut my hair and now I look like I just came from Europe… They are both very professional and charming. I was definitely looking my BEST on the New Years Eve. Thank you both SO much, I will definitely be BACK.

BE WARNED!

Olga, the owner's wife, butchered my head!

When I asked her why she was layering my hair so short when I had told her I wanted to grow out the layers and eventually have a blunt shape, she got angry with me.

I found her to be cold and rude.

This hair cut will take me a minimum of nine long months to grow out.

The shape is unflattering and unmanageable.

Even my husband asked me why I let them cut off so much hair.

I was so upset at the end of the blow dry portion of my "salon" experience that I couldn't even talk.

But to top off the horrible service, the salon no longer takes credit cards.

I had to use my debit card, which I don't like to do because it makes managing my expenses more complicated.

Save you money and your hair.

Go somewhere else.

My name is Oleg Kaz I have been in this Business for over 15 years, I have NEVER seen such a disgusting review.....Robin have seen Olga before for her Keratin Treatment and a Hair Cut and she was happy with her Hair. But it turns out that Robin Stein is the type of customer that has been in MANY different Salons in the City and when she was telling Olga that NON of the Salons made her happy and that they ALL BUTCHERED her hair. That's already says A LOT about this customer. Its obvious that No matter who she goes to or how much she pays NO ONE will make her happy EVER. So this time Olga was just another victim of Robins Hair Disaster. We regret that Robin was very unhappy AGAIN with her hair, and I really hope that ONE day she will find some one in this BIG City that she will be happy with.

Oleg did my highlights so amazin I didn't even expect that they would come so great! Just the first minute he took my hair I understood he is real professional! And the prices are quite reasonable there so I advice you to go to this place

BEST KERATIN FROM MAYRA

I was at my wit’s end. I refresh my color and highlights

every few weeks. My hair looks great until the first rainy day,

and then it stops being perky and turns to frizz.

After that, I can’t seem to achieve that salon look.

It happened again a few weeks ago.

I got my color and highlights on a Friday,

and then a huge rainstorm all weekend.

By Wednesday, my hair was a hot mess.

I was walking up Broadway and thought to myself

I’m going to cut all my hair off at the next salon I pass.

I walked right into Oleg Kaz salon and consulted

with Mayra Bocanegra, who talked me out of cutting off my hair.

Mayra suggested I try a Brazilian hair straightening treatment

she called it ‘The Other Brazilian’ lol.

Mayra applied a keratin product and treated my hair,

and told me not to wash it for 3 days after I left the salon.

When I applied the final rinse 3 days later,

I was blown away at my hair’s density, health and shine.

It’s great to know my hair will look great all summer.

I’m planning to stop in at Oleg Kaz next week

and have Mayra refresh my highlights.

I called for a same day appointment and was squeezed me in within the hour. The stylist was sweet and made suggestions. He was RIGHT!
