Unforgettable Taste !!!!

by saki999

I am totally in love with the chic place!!!!. Hard to imagine they can mix modern elements and traditional tea drinks so perfectly. The live DJ is such a cool and fresh idea, totally turning the waiting time into an enjoyable moment. The tea itself is amazing too. During the winter break staying in NY, I almost stop by and get different drinks everyday and each of them is sooooooo tasty!! Living in LA, I've never found the same place serving such a great tea. Don't know why they don't have any spot here on the west coast. Hope they will. Can't wait to try it again~~

  • Pros: variable tea selections, rich flavor, DJ, trendy atmosphere
  • Cons: no store on the west coast so far

to die for!!

by angleyes

YOu have to try their rice pudding, it is simply to die for~! I went there looking for good tea and left trying what was probably the best pudding i have ever tasted. a great place to go after dinner or a date, or just with some friends to catch up.

Great tea for the cold weather

by b_jones

There is only one thing I enjoy about the cold weather and its drinking a nice hot cup of tea. Tavalon has the most flavorful teas around. Nothing compares to the greatness that is their chai seduction. It is like drinking a cup of pure goodness. Their apple cider latte is also fantastic. I will be back to try the others!

Gerat tea

by phw0811

I go to Union Square everyday because I am a student at Newschool.

I am a huge fan of Tavalon. Try ice Genius. It's white tea with pepermint and Korean plum.

That's my favorite.

A great selection of white, black, green teas complemented with awesome service

by mrteatime

This tea company has everything that I need. I love heading to Union Square to head to their bar. Once you get there, all their products along the wall just jump out as gift ideas. They sell the tea leaves both in the store and their website, with all the different types of white, green, and black teas. They also have a lot of special drinks called "mixes" and "remixes" that are delicious. I also don't mind the service, the employees are real nice and the ceo makes frequent appearances. You have to notice the booth up on the second floor, they have djs that play live music. Whenever I drink their remixes I feel refreshed. Try the genius!

  • Pros: A nice place for both tea lovers and those new to tea.
  • Cons: Small place, but can't be helped.

quality, interesting tea!

by poptart27

I went here the other day and had a really good drink called the green tea iced latte. It wasn't too sweet, and very refreshing! They had a sample of the genius tea outside which was what brought me in...and it took me a while to decide on the green tea, all of their mixed drinks actually sound really good. The cashier was friendly and informative, and the music the dj was playing was great! Seeing the dj booth up there was pretty cool..

I'll def. stop by again sometime to try the other teas...make sure to see the gravity teapot work! very interesting

  • Pros: tasty teas, ambience, service
  • Cons: needs more locations

Who loves tea? I do!

by d_anabella

I've passed by Tavalon quite a couple of times but never stopped by. I stopped by this time because the guy at the front of the store sampling was really funny. He was kinda cute, I forgot his name, he was a filipino dude, but I'll be back!

Anyway.. I tried the Chai Seduction that he was sampling and OMG, so goood. I've never, ever had tea like that before! I'm use to trying like all these yucky teas my mom drinks. I have to bring her to Tavalon. I really liked my first visit because they have a lot of unique tea drinks and the feeling you get from just being in there is just so cool. The DJ was playing akon when i was there!

The store was really small though, but hopefully they will open another one soon!

Great ambiance! Try the healthy buzz iced with caramel and apple! Or buy some of the after dark for home make it an iced tea and add vodka and lime! These teas are very diverse. Also the DJ has a great music selection, i started to dance as I was waiting in line

  • Pros: The DJ
  • Cons: The chairs are very cold
