quick, fast service. inexpensive - $6 for eyebrow threading. wouldn't make it my usual place but good for a quick touch up since it's around the block from my office.
Pros: quick, friendly, inepensive
Cons: missed a few hairs here and there

Sizzls, I wish I'd seen your post before I went to Perfect Shape for a bikini wax. It was one of my more miserable waxing experiences -- and I've had some pretty bad ones. While I liked the idea of the wax stick, which seemed less goopy than the liquidy stuff, the woman yanked at the same patches of skin over and over, seemingly as hard as she could. She didn't check that the lines were even (they weren't -- but I was in such pain, I didn't care), nor did she pluck out the many, many hairs she missed. Plus, she opened the door while I was dressing, and there was a man in the salon. I came away with a bruise (I'm surprised it was only one) and skin that looked like it was about to molt. Despite moisturizing, my skin's been peeling for the two weeks since she did the job. What's more, the hair started to grow back a few day ago. That's the shortest-lived bikini wax I've ever had! It was cheap ($11), but if you have to go back twice as often, are limping after it's done and then can't even wear a bathing suit because it looks like you have some sort of rare skin disease, it's far from worth it.

i should have walked out as soon as i saw that dirty purple room, but i stuck it out, and am kicking myself for it. it was the most painful, dreadful hair removal experience of my life (and and this wasn't even a brazilian)...they used thin roll on wax that looked dirty (AND wrong kind for my hair type) didn't clean me up before or after, didn't use proper techniques, no hand washing, no gloves, tore the strips off w/o even holding back the skin, and to top it off, left the door open as i was getting dressed. did i mention i got wax ALL over me, and my underwear and had to go home with my jeans glued to my skin. the area is now starting to turn purple, and there is still hair everywhere- now i have to go back over the bruises and tweeze to finish the job. they may be good at eyebrows, but i am NEVER going back to find out.

Gave threading a try- painfree and inexpensive. Employees were very nice. Much better than waxing.
Pros: fast, cost, experience
