After stopping in last week and trying some of their seasonal pumpkin ice cream, it was only a few days before I felt like going back ... and did! Most ice cream people know that it's hard to find a good independent and affordable ice cream parlor in the city today, but finding a good one that actually has serving sizes in good proportion to the prices..... that was the real shocker. Sundaes and Cones has a good selection of traditional and unique flavors, all which look worth trying at some point. Although its decor fits right in with 21st Century, it recalls the old days of New York ice cream parlors with some good old fashion fountain drinks like ice cream sodas, floats, and egg creams. Milkshake float anyone? Some cafe always goes well with the ice cream. A great place to stop in on the go, hang with friends, or bring the kids.

Pros: Ice cream variety, good people behind the counter

Cons: Located on a quiet side street that most would probably walk past.

The customer service here is excellent and you'll always be greeted with a smile. They have an interesting variety of flavors (including Tiramisu, Ginger, Lychee, Green Tea, Red Bean, and Taro) and their prices are very reasonable for Manhattan. I highly recommend this place!

Pros: customer service, ice cream, affordable

Cons: None

Several interesting flavors like watermelon, green tea, chrysanthemum, wasabi, & corn (be sure and ask for a taste before you decide!). They also have less adventurous flavors like black cherry, vanilla, tiramisu, & mango. BUT my absolute favorite is honeydew! It's fantastic!!

Pros: Lots of flavor choices, late hours, a few chairs
