I had a great weekend with some girlfriends, we had a few laughs which lead to a few spillages of the wine on my rug. I called out the people from NY Carpet, they were inexpensive and showed up when they said they would. Thank you! --Kerri

Unfortunately, it was impossible to predict the exact price over the telephone, as we had never seen your carpet and the state it was in. After a visit to your home, we noticed the many pet stains and pet fur. These facts were not mentioned to our customer service representative when you phoned us for service. This information would have surely altered the price that was quoted to you over the telephone. SAY NO TO NY CARPET & UPHOLSTERY! I decided to use NY Carpet & Upholstery after reading reviews on Citysearch. I called to get an estimate to have my one-bedroom steam cleaned and was told between $70-120, totally reasonable. But when John (cleaning guy) got here, he told me it would be $150 because I needed to have my carpets shampooed and deodorized, not steamed. I told him I only wanted steam cleaning as I have pets and a few spots, and that $150 was over the estimate. After a bit of a heated discussion (during which he told me I didn't understand or know what I was talking about, quite honestly I don't care about the difference between shampooing and steaming, it was the principle), he ended up refusing service unless I had the shampooing done! I refused and so he left. REALLY EASY TO DOUBLE THE PRICE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE ESTIMATE ONCE THE CLEANER GETS TO THE APARTMENT, but I can't believed he actually refused to steam clean instead of shampoo (steaming is the cheaper of the two). I would have appreciated if when I called NY Carpet & Upholstery they had told me that was a possibility, because I would have told them no thanks and called someone else!!!! Now my carpets are still dirty after all that!

Cons: I was refused the service I asked for!

hi i just mooved to ny and from out of the states too-so i was a bit afraid to use a company which i didnt hear about f/m my closest friends-but i took a chance and called nycarpet and upholstery. the smell my cat had left on the soffa was horrible-they came the next day shampoo and sanitized it-the smell was gone and if u had raised a cat u must know what im talking about......well i have only good things to say THANK-YOU

I was so sick of those old stains on my wall to wall carpet. while I was sitting over coffee with a friend at my house, she told me about this company and how pleased she was fwith the job and from the customer service. so I decided to try, and indeed so! the carpet was a good as new, not a sign for those old stains, and on that same day I called- I had a technician in my house. he was very kind and polite and the estimation was free of charge! I decided that I want the job done right away. now I have a clean carpet that smells great too!

Pros: quick and kind customer service

Cons: none!

Me and my husband have 2 cats and a dog living inside our house. A week and a half ago my mother got sick and moved in with us. The problem is that she is very allergic to cats. We had to bring someone that can clean our carpet and upholstery quickly and thoroughly. We called ny carpets and one day later- our carpets were as good as new! Efficient and quick- that’s how a customer should be served! Thank you ny carpets!

This company rocks! My and my friends totaly trashed my parents cream coloured sofa combo with nacho stains. The couch looked like a freakin painting which I thought was pretty cool but I am certain my parents would not look at it this way. I had less than 24 hours left to clean up this mess or else I would be really dead. So I called NY Carpet desperatley begging them to come asap and they were really cool about it and send a carpet dude over actually in the next 20 minutes. The couch looked brand new and he barely charged me anything! Apparentely nacho stains aint so bad! The couches even dried on time before my parents got home! Thanks NY Carpet, You guys are some cool dudes!!

My basement got flooded last week, and aside from the urgency of cleaning the carpets and getting rid of the smell, I also had my daughter's Sweet 16 party to host there the following day! I called NY Carpet and they said they would come that same day. They kept their word and came later that evening, and despite the late hour did a fantastic job with lots of patience. I already started to think I'd have to replace the carpets, but NY Carpet saved the day and now I'm glad I didn't order a new rug. Everything dried overnight and the party the next day was a huge success!

Pros: great job, professional, quick service

Last week I had a small incident at home that included lots of water everywhere. I immediately called NY Carpet and they had promised to send someone over that same day. A few hours later, as promised, a very nice and professional technician arrived at my home to check things out. He evaluated the situation, gave me a very reasonable price and started working. He was done in a few hours and after everything had dried up it all looks like new with no sign that anything had happened. Thank you!

I bought a second-hand sofa that I really liked, and I guess my dog really liked it as well, because yesterday morning he decided to leave his signature mark on it. An internet search vrought up NY Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning and I called them immediately, not sure what to expect and hoping for the best. The technicians came the same day, at the time I was told they would, gave me a great price and got the job done in no time. Plus, they stainproofed the sofa at no extra charge, so now my dog and I can enjoy the sofa, without having to fear of future accidents, and with no trace that anything had happened. I highly recommend them!

Pros: Efficient, punctual, kind, professional

Cons: nothing bad to say
