You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for. The price is cheap and so is the food. The included bloody mary or mimosa burns on the way down like cheap liquor should. The crab cake benedict doesn't really have a lot of flavor, but at least it's offered. If you're in a bind and need a brunch spot this would do, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here.
- Pros: Cheap
Delightful staff, great drink specials
by socialbuttafly
The staff here is so friendly and nice! They have a lot of fun drink and food specials (toss the boss, 2 for 1, supersize your drinks, and $10 shark steaks on Sundays), and the food was very fresh and delicious. It's an unpretentious crowd and we got great, quick service. Someone else said the portions were small and the food was overpriced, but I was full after my meal (and I eat a lot! LOL) and they have a Beach Blanket special where you get an entree, a glass of wine and dessert for $20. Seriously, it can't get any cheaper than that in Manhattan.
- Pros: Friendly staff, great value, good food
- Cons: Can't think of any
I love unlimited mimosas!
by luvnyc401
I love this place! $15 gets you a good, filling meal and all the mimosas/screwdrivers u can drink! Service is extremely friendly and its designed as a cool, Aussie beach. Wait can get really long depending on what time u go- helpful hint- they take reservations for 6 or more. I think u can sneak them for less though. They don't really rush u, but if u REALLY wanna take advantage of the unlimited part I say their brother restaurant Sunburnt Cow is a little better.
- Pros: 15 bucks all u can drink, and a meal!
- Cons: After 1 the wait can be long
Friendly staff, great food, fun bar!!

A group of friends and I celebrated Australia Day at Bondi last night. The waitresses were unbelievably nice and friendly, the drinks were awesome (Bondi Marg = YUM!) and the food was good too! It's a really fun atmosphere. It's a perfect place to hang out with friends. I will definitely go back to Bondi.
- Pros: Friendly staff, great food, good beers and mixed drinks
- Cons: Can get crowded
Fun times for a price
by violetkoba
Bondi is one of the friendliest bars on the LES. The staff is down right lovely. The food and drink are quality - but the portions are very small and completely over priced. Simple fish and chips will cost you a minimum of $15. A grape fruit juice and vodka is $9! It's a relaxed, casual back place, so the prices are surprising.
- Pros: over priced, small portions
- Cons: friendly staff that gives out shot to make up for the $10 drinks ( even though they are pretty much cool aid)
Delicious!
by nutbut303
A friend recommended the place. I had the lumb crab wraps (delicious!) and two different oyster shots, both were unique and tasted great! I love french fries and this place had fries with a ceviche dip or something, so yummy! My friend ordered the fish and chips, he said the batter was so light. The fish was also nice and flakey. The waitress was also very friendly and helpful with our menu choices.
- Pros: Food is great, quick service
- Cons: High tables
good burgers and fish and chips
by katarinanyc
I've been here about five times now and each experience has been good. The food hasn't ever been disappointing and the staff are always friendly. I love the fish and chips (the chips are fantastic!) and their burger with 'the lot'. The only complaint I have is last time I went there for the brunch with unlimited drinks, the Greyhounds didn't taste like they had any alcohol which I'm sure they did not as I felt completely fine after downing three in less than an hour! Other than that, it's a fun casual place with good Aussie food.
- Pros: food, service
- Cons: seating isn't the most comfortable
Great party spot!!!!

I recently wen't to Bondi Road for a friend's birthday party, and I must say it was a terrific experience. We were a group of ten people and were sat at a large communal table in the front of the restaurant. It was really nice to be able to see evryone around one table and it gave us a chance to talk to one another face to face. There were two huge fish bowel with muticolor fish swimming around in them. The server brought us a round of drinks on the house so we were able to do a b-day shot. The food was amazing! I had the fish and chips and the portions were huge and tasty, the chips were cripy and delicious. There was a great party vibe in there as there was a D.J spinning great dance tracks and it really got the place pumping. All in all it was a great time and I will definitely go back.
- Pros: Great food! Party atmosphere!
- Cons: Tables wobble
amazing food, even better service!

Went to Bondi Road last monday night for a quick dinner with my boyfriend, and we had a great time. We were a little hesitant to try the place after reading some unpleasant reviews, but clearly they were completely untrue.
The friendly aussie waitress recommended I try the daily special (some strange fish from hawaii), and I was speachless after the first bite... the most amazing meal i've had in the city in months! My boyfriend had fried fish and chips, which too was lovely. The service was prompt, but relaxed and genuine... those australians are a fun, welcoming bunch.
After this experience, Bondi road has to be one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
- Pros: great food and service
- Cons: wobbly chairs

A friend and I went into Bondi Road last night and it was pretty full...we were hesitant to stay because we thought we'd have to wait forever but the hostess offered us seats at the bar so we decided to stay. We ate great food! Nice variety, light and tasty dishes. Bartender extremely friendly!!! We enjoyed it so much I am booking my husband's 40th birthday party there next month!
