Aloo rolls togo -- ended up Stale.
by gauravpr at Citysearch
Last week on a Wednesday, I ordered 4 Aloo and 2 Paneer rolls to go. Ordered at 7pm, picked up at 7:45pm and ate them at 8:30pm the same day. One could tell that the Aloo were stale. Ended up throwing them but the Paneer rolls were good. This is not the first time their Aloo rolls have tasted funny and going forward, I would avoid ordering a Aloo take out.
- Pros: Amazing taste (as far as fresh)
- Cons: Stale Aloo rolls togo.
Authentic ...no psuedo Indian food here!

Kati Rolls is a treasure. Their rolls are very yummy and if you are from India or Pakistan and like the authentic flavor of 'paratha chicken rolls' from back home that is your place.
I happen to find that place walking around near NYU (another location). I live in LA and wish Kati Roll would come out West. Very good food, good attitude and its a bargain. Ate 2 rolls for 9bucks and came out of the place with a smile.
Unlike other places they know their niche and did a great job. WOuld consider eating there again and will spread the word to others.
- Pros: Quick, simple menu (descriptive with photos)
- Cons: lack of sitting area

What more can I say about the rolls? There are many such places in the city, but nothing compares with Kati roll. I love their achari paneer and unda aloo rolls, and my hubby loves their chicken roll. I cannot believe I took this long to find this place! Its a no-frills quick-bite place. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it!! And the taste is very Indian, which is surprising because the people who make it are not Indian!! The only problem is that they add too much oil, and I think they use white flour to make rolls which is unhealthy.
- Pros: Yummy rolls, cheap, quick-bite
- Cons: Small place
Fast Easy Simple Tasty Food

Never knew there was other kind of Indian food besides the smell of curry. This beats it. Quick and easy, yet tasty and filling. Food is very cheap and can satisfy your taste buds. I recommend Achari Paneer Roll and Chicken Unda Roll. Great joint.
- Pros: Kati Rolls - Tasty Cheap
- Cons: Seating and Service
Wrapped Indian street food attracts Times Square-sized lunch crowds.

Born in the streets of India, the kati roll is something like a wrap. Buttery paratha bread gets rolled around a variety of fillings. Ten renditions comprise the entire menu, including unda (egg omelette), chicken and beef tikka, and a minced mutton roll. Hordes of Midtowners, many of them Indian, wait patiently in line for a lunchtime fix, passing time by admiring the posters of Indian action flicks that line the bright orange walls.
Cheap, tasty and different!

When most people think Indian food, they think curries and breads. Indian cuisine is more varied than that and Kati Roll allows you to sample and experience a different nuance of Indian cooking. This place gets packed during lunch time so you might have to wait to get your order. Other than, the dishes are simply delicious and tasty. I recommend the Achari Paneer roll, Aloo Unda roll and chicken tikka roll. They're not very spicy and extremely yummy! I love this place and turn up atleast once a month to satiate my need for a kathi roll.
- Pros: Cheap and v tasty
- Cons: When crowded, service can slow down to a crawl
