I booked the 25th St. / 10th Ave. apartment for four nights. We stayed one, and getting through that was quite an ordeal. The apartment was advertised as "in the back," presumably to imply that it was quiet. Because I was traveling with an infant, I confirmed over the phone that it was indeed quiet. Antique failed to mention the apartment is in the back, *ABOVE A BAR*. We might has well slept in that bar. The bedroom window is so close to it, we could identify particular people at the bar by their laughter. In addition, the apartment is heated by radiator, which cannot be controlled. Under any normal circumstances, we would have just opened the windows and dealt with it, but opening the window just made things all the louder, of course. To get to sleep, we eventually found a radio, tuned it between stations for white noise, and cranked the volume to its maximum. Antique did refund our unused three nights, but I'm still sore about having to pay for even one night, esp. since I had to rebook at a hotel at the last minute and paid through the nose. The short of it: I wouldn't trust them to rent me bowling shoes, let alone an apartment. (I also second the complaints about having trouble reaching Marcial, the fellow who manages these apartments. He was certainly snippy when asked for our money back. Again, though, if not for the unbearable noise, we probably would have just chalked that up to what you have to deal with to save $$ in NYC.)

They have a impressive attention to detail also have an attentive staff and a nicely furnished apartment. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone base: - Service at every level was outstanding that we booked a night stay on our return trip.
Pros: attention to the costumers

We made a reservation in December 2007 for a stay on May 2008. Everything was confirmed (we had a voucher and we had given our credit card number). A few days before coming, we sent an e-mail confirming our arrival. Antique Cafe answered that the appartment wasn't available whithout any other explanation. We had this answer only a few hours before going to the airport !!! They had our phone number and didn't even phone us. It is not professional !!!

We had an overnight stay with our teenage daughters to check NYU and although it was a little quiet for them, it was pure bliss for my husband and I, so much so just the two of us are returning to enjoy for a longer period, can't wait. I especially enjoyed the neighborhood with nice restaurants and art galleries.
Pros: location

We went last year in December to spend new years and I had the best week of my life. I met fantastic people I found all the clubbing really good. You could not ask for more from the staff they as good as gold. Really I had so much fun especially dancing watching the Crystal ball at Time Square.
Pros: location and service

Be careful when trying to make a reservation. I sent an e-mail to inquire about rates and availability for an upcoming trip I'm planning on making with my husband and daughter. I was told by Marcial that the 14th street apartment was available and to go ahead and complete the online reservation form. I did that immediately but never received a confirmation. I called and left a voicemail and also e-mailed Marcial to request a confirmation for my reservation. He e-mailed me back and told me that he was working on my confirmation. Later that day, he e-mailed me to say that there was no availability for the dates I was interested in!!! I called him and left another voicemail (he never answers his phone) and my husband sent him an angry e-mail, but he never responded. Very, very unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Clean, quite large flats for New York city, and very nice staff. We arrived before check-in (noon) and they held our bags at the restaurant while we explored Chelsea area. Grocery store, best buy, tons of restaurants/cafes and the metro. near by. We paid 150 euros a night. Expensive by French standards, but you soon realize that nothing is cheap in New York.
Pros: flats, clean, location.

The hotel is fantastic! The apartments are beautiful, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We were only scheduled to stay 6 nights, but ended up staying 8 (since the airlines lost our luggage); and the owner (Marcielo) was extremely accomodating. The location is great!
Pros: service, location and rates.
Cons: always booked
