I’ve heard wonderful things about the Poochie Place from other dog owners, but have not had a chance to go there until recently. After my visit, I can not only say that the Poochie Place is PHENOMENAL but I will never take my dog anywhere else again!!!!!!! Gabby looked and smelled FANTASTIC after Michelle and June were done with him. They seem to genuinely care about the pets they groom. I was especially impressed with their attention to details. I have received numerous compliments on Gabby’s haircut from others. In addition to their exceptional grooming, the Poochie Place has the cutest selection of doggie wear and accessories. The place smells wonderful and more importantly is extremely clean. Keep up the good work Poochie Place.
Pros: Exceptional grooming and care
Cons: None

I heard really nice things about this place from many people who bring their dogs there. So I decided to to walk in and check the place out. The place is very nice and clean. The groomers were very friendly and really cared about pets. Case in point, when I went in, there was another person with their dog. Even I could see that the dog was in really bad condition. The dog was completely knotted up everywhere. It looked like it hadn't been combed in years. The owner kept going on and on about how she wanted the dog to be kept long. She insisted on putting her dog through the demating, (the demating is not cheap either) even though it would be too traumatic for the pet. Well the groomers told her that they were unwilling to put any animal through that much discomfort and pain. They told her that while they want to give owners the hairstyle they want, they wouldn't do it at the expense of any pet's comfort or well-being. Good for them! The lady finally gave in but was clearly not happy about it. This showed me that the groomers cared about the pets more than they cared about the money. So I was very comfortable with bringing my pet to them. If my pet is in bad condition, I might not get the haircut I want, but I know they will have my pet's best interests in mind. And not only are they nice, but their grooming is top notch. Suzie was fresh, clean and her haircut was beautiful. So glad I listened to people's advice about bringing my pet there. The Poochie Place is definitely where I will be bringing Suzie from now on.
Pros: Clean & nice facility. Friendly, caring and professional!
Cons: None

I found The Poochie Place on City Search and decided to take a trip there. It's not a big shop, but it is one of the cutest pet boutiques that I have been in. The first thing you notice is that the place smells really nice. You wouldn't know that they did grooming there. I've been to other grooming shops and they usually smelled awful. I booked an appointment for the following week. I was really pleased with how they took the time to speak with me about what I wanted. They didn't just take my dogs to the back and tell me to come back Iater like other shops did. I have two dogs, Prince, a yorkie, and Princess, a maltese. I had thought that with grooming, you had to get a haircut. They were good enough to tell me that Prince was in good condition and if I did not want to give him a haircut, I did not have to. I know alot of places would push the haircut on you because it costs more. But they didn't. Now Princess can get nasty about getting groomed, but she really needed a haircut. The owners spoke with me about how it was more important that they do what they can and not stress her out too much. They wanted her to get comfortable with them and stressing her out would just make her more adverse to being groomed, not just by them but by anyone. This really showed me that they cared about the pets they worked on. I was so happy when I picked Prince and Princess up. Prince was so fresh and clean. And not only were they able to work on Princess, but they did a beautiful job! She looked so cute! I felt so pleased that I just had to write a review and let people know about this place!
Pros: Caring & honest groomers. Clean place. Smells great. Cute boutique.
Cons: None.

I recently brought my 17 yr old schitzu Shana here to be groomed. Because of her old age, she is very hard to handle. I have had 2 other groomers refuse to handle anymore because she is a pain in the butt. However, Michelle and June were fantastic, not only did they not complain about my shana, but when I picked her up, she looked and smelt phenominal! They were thankful for my patrinage opposed to complaining about what I pay them to do like some other groomers. They are really good at their craft. If you have an animal and care what they look and feel like, this is the place to go. My dog's skin was so soft after the oatmeal treatment it was unbelievable. They also have other treatments to choose from. They also sell other things in their boutique like toys, beds, sweaters etc. If you have a pet and really care about them, definately try this place!!
Pros: Thorough, Quality Job, Appreciative of your Business
Cons: Not too close to my apartment, but definately worth the trip!!
