Melt in your mouth Ramen
by cit1_girl
The Ramen here is delicious and completely authentic. I always come here when i crave comfort food. This place is always filled with Japanese patrons which is a sign that they mean business when it comes to the art of making Ramen.
- Pros: great food.
- Cons: small space

This tiny ramen spot serves up traditional ramen with a variety of broths and your choice of pork or seafood.
Very good place for noddles

Their ramen is so delicious. We have been there many times and never disappoints. Especially perfect for a cold winter. The place is a little bit run down and is tiny for its customers but the food is worth it. Simple, basic but good food.
- Pros: noddles, quick service`
Great broth and pork, noodles are special, thicker kind of ramen.

This is real authentic ramen. The pork is always perfect, and the variety of choices is great. I live very close to minca and i used to eat there almost once a week. I have to say that the quality of the broth varies depending on who is cooking. And that I do not really like the kind of noodles they use, they are too thick for me. This is a very special type of ramen, and it is not like what you get at most japanese ramen shops. That being said, it's perhaps one of two or three places in new york that actually make decent ramen. So if you really like this kind of food, it definately a "MUST GO" kind of place. I reccomend the "Shoyu Ramen," but ask for the "thinner noodles" that come with the "Minca Ramen" if you don't want the thick noodles they normally use. Also, the "Daikon Salad" is amazing, and the gyoza is out-of-this-world.
- Pros: Great food, great service, very authentic
- Cons: quality of broth is sometimes erratic, but better than most in NY
Awesome ramen

I've always been the person that is against paying $10+ for ramen noodle. After my friend took me to this place, my opinion about authentic ramen noodle totally changed. The broth and noodle here are very fresh, with alot of selections. The pork they put in the ramen soup is very tasty and tender. The shrimp gyoza apetitzer is simple and very tasty.. highly recommend this place.
- Pros: Large selection of ramen noodle
- Cons: small place
The real deal
by mayamayanyc
Minca is out of this world. The ramen is totally authentic , reasonably priced and better than other more well-known ramen places. Going to Minca is like stepping into Tokyo. All the ramen options are delicious though to my palate, you can't beat the spicy basic ramen with a Sapporo on the side.
- Pros: delicious ramen, great prices
- Cons: crowded, sometimes hard to get a table
Best ramen I've tried! - Esp luv the soup & pork
by DumpyBumpy
Love the Basic ramen. The pork so tender, soup so saporous. The ramen texture is usually perfect. But it was kind of hard the last time I went. But it was perfect after sitting in the bowl for 3-5 min. Also tried their Shrimp Gyoza - WOW!!!! I don't even know hot to explain - it is truly unherad of (to me). There is actually a shrimp in each gyoza, with the shrimp tail. But this place smells like gas.. I do worry. And, it is quite out of the way for me. Still, it is totally worth the detour for top quality ramen and gyoza.
- Pros: ramen, pork, soupbase, atmosphere
- Cons: location, smell of gas
Great ramen!

One of the best ramen places in New York City. The food is simple but very good. My wife lived in Tokyo and loves ramen so when I took her to Minca she fell in love with the soups. The location is out of the way for us but it is worth the trek down.
- Pros: Soups, price
- Cons: Location
The broth is so flavorful
by luismat
This cute small place is huge in flavor. The basic broth is my fovorite. Bring on the toroniku (slow cooked pork belly). Must be so fattening, but melts like butter in your mouth.
- Pros: Amazing ramen
- Cons: Little small.
