I have been getting foot pain from my old sneakers and one of my co-workers recommended Jack Rabbit. The sales staff was nice (and attractive added bonus) and really sat down with me to help me find a good pair of new running sneakers. I bought a great pair that day that i am really happy with! The only thing that i wish that they had more of was other types of work out clothes, not just running and spandex! But all in all great sneakers and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who works out a lot.
Pros: Great Sneakers
Cons: Only Running Shorts

This is a store for people who are physically active and demand high performance from their sports clothing. I shop at the Brooklyn location, near my home, and I can not say enough good things about the staff (friendly, smart, knowledgeable and experienced with the gear), the selection (all of it is high quality and at a fair price) and the prices (I bought a pair of shoes there and now I get 10% off everything, for ever). Great website too. If I had discovered this place 20 years ago, I would have saved a lot of money and pain.

I had a great experience today at your store. Came in to purchase a pair of running shoe being a complete newbie to running. Your employee Patrick offered me outstanding assistance including diagnosing my running bias on the treadmill, and offered me a selection of shoes. He took the time to explain things to me, and made process of purchasing my first running shoes easy. Thanks for all your help -- I will definitely be back!

I'm the owner of JackRabbit and wanted to reply to the woman who had an issue with the shoelace on her shoe. Our store manager Mike dealt with her personally, and I also dealt with her personally. Mike did not tell her that we wouldn't replace the shoe laces -- he told her that we don't sell shoe laces independently of shoes, because we so rarely get requests for them. (My recollection is that the shoes were too worn to simply replace the entire shoe, but it's been a while...) Mike suggested that for about $2 she could get a pair of replacement shoe laces from Foot Locker, about 50 yards away. She was upset by this response and called me a day or so later to complain. I called the MANUFACTURER of the shoes, and they do not have replacement shoe laces in their warehouse either because they so rarely have problems with them. They offered to pull the laces out of a pair of sample shoes from their showroom, but those shoes were the wrong size and wouldn't have fit her shoes. I relayed all of this information to her and offered to pay her bill at Foot Locker, Paragon, or wherever she went to get replacement laces. She told me she'd just get them herself. If there was something that we could have done besides calling the manufacturer or offering to pay for her replacements, I'm not sure what it could be.

Question: How many Jack Rabbit employees does it take to replace a defective shoelace? Answer: None -- they won't do it! This store prides itself on its service, but doesn't stand behind a product it sells. I discovered that the surly employee who told me there was nothing he could do was the manager. Ha! There are other running shoe stores in this city, and they're probably all heads above this one.
Pros: It's on 14th Street
Cons: Terrible service

Super friendly folks at JackRabbit made for a pleasant shopping experience. They have a video taped running analyis that is great, and at no cost is finally something for us middle of the pack athletes.
Pros: friendly staff, low pressure experience, quality products
Cons: none really, perhaps bigger men's swimsuit selection
