Love this place, always have, always will
by EdenDi
Anyone going there to sit around an talk and be "seen" is in the WRONG place. If you want to groove to good music, hang out, meet cool people, this is the spot for you. If you wanna drink all night (the drinks tend to be unnecessarily expensive), look cooler than you are, or sit all night, don't waste your time.
There are zillions of hookah joints in the East Village where you can sit and chill and have drinks. You go to this place if you wanna dance. In the 8+ years I have been going there (former regular tho now no bc my job is too demanding to go out so much), I've always danced my ass off and had a great time.
I'm not much of a drinker, but my loyalty has paid off in handsome comps throughout the years in free door, drinks, and hookahs. Music is WAY loud. So stop talking!
great time

I must say I went out last thursday to falucka bar and we had a wonderful time. the music was great. it was a reggae them night. I will be back this thursday. I would recomend this place to anyone who enjoys good music.
Horrible experience- Bouncers just want to assert power.

Horrible experience for a Hookah bar/lounge. Waaay too loud so not good for conversations. Way over priced. Why does a Hookah place need bouncers? To man-handle people. Absolutely rude bouncers & waitresses are very pushy. Just a weird experience. not a true hookah place, just so wanna be. Wouldn't recommend this place one bit, save your money and pick something else.
- Cons: bouncers, pricey, too loud, not classy
Good for dancing

If it wasn't for their music I don't think they would've been in business.
Bad service with great music.
- Pros: music
- Cons: terrible service, small place
WTF?

Could someone who owns this place explain to me why I just paid $36 dollars for 3 HALF-GLASS shots full of 3/4 water and 1/4 who knows what... and then had the bar-girl scold me for not tipping her! Here's a TIP, don't EVER call a patron over to the bar and yell at them for $4 dollars! and especially not when you're running at least a $400 night! Besides, since when was it required to pay for bad service, even in this city!?
For those in the know, Ziko (cool dude) said to "be honest in your comments" so I'll put it this way: Moe, I used to love your place dearly but if this is the kind of service we can expect from now on, I gotta say... there are many more professional bars in the city that won't put up with bartenders who do that s**t!
- Pros: Great atmosphere
- Cons: poor choice on bar-back
WORST BAR IN NYC, WORST SERVICE AND STAFF
by beckabell77
I went to Falucka Lounge about a month ago for my cousins birthday party. We called a week in advance for a reservation of 8-12 people. When we arrived the door host ( more like douchbag) insisted did not know about my party. He could barely speak and looked extremely unpresentable to be a door host. When the called the BIG- for-nothing OWNER outside he just stood there going back and forth with the host in arabian..They looked like two fools. At which the same time a drunk patron was being thrown out..the bouncer clearly needed help and the two men did nothing. Needless to say we still decided to go inside because it was too late to go anywhere else. We went to the bar as instructed until we could be seated. Not to be completely cynical but the bartender was a very unattractive brunette with bad teeth, almost hard to look at and tthen took about three shots herself before taking our drink order. When we finally were seated at our table which was sanwiched between many others we the got even worse service from the waitress! I got the initial impression that she was a lesbian because she was bald, which wasnt a big deal until she seamed to be accompanied by her boyfriend who was fondling her and had his hands up her skirt in front of us!!! WTF??!! Very inappropriate.. We left shortly after that, completely disguested, embarresed in front of my friends and with my cousins bithday ruined.
I would never recommend this bar to anyone with the slightest ounce of dignity or self respect.
best hang out spot...hands down!

Cool hangout hookah spot
by sixftcutie
A couple of friends and I were just hangin around the Village and saw this spot and it seemed to be cool so we went in. We didn't know it was a hookah lounge until we actually got inside and saw the setup. It's not huge so don't plan to have a bunch of people there but the service was great, the music was going, the regulars were nice and we all had a great time. I'd totally recommend it to anybody who's looking for a few hours to hang out on a weeknight.
Worst customer service

We went there to smoke hookah, they had only one flavour, hookah was 25 $ and waitress was pushing us to buy drinks, she would ask us every 2 min. Service charge was included on slow night only for 3 people. There're much better places to go out there.
