Delicious Candy Janes

by Brandoncito

I'm not a professional dancer, nor am I a judge on So You Think You Can Dance. I didn't really understand how good these girls are until I saw another troupe perform and I was utterly bored. It would be like being raised on Kansas City BBQ and not really understanding how good it is until you venture out of your nest and try other region's BBQ. Then you realize just how lucky you are to have experienced the best for your entire life. Oh wait, that happened to me too!

So, yes, The Candy Janes are like a delectable slab of baby back ribs. They will make you forget to swallow with their savory, scintilating dancing and they'll tickle your funny bone just for good measure. This is an act that has a big future. Get in on the ground floor and you'll never be disappointed.

  • Pros: Simmering Burlesque dancing rife with laughter
  • Cons: None to speak of

Fun and sexy cabaret

by iani

Ive seen a few Candy Janes shows, and I have yet to be disappointed. Great music, great dancing, and HOT girls with funny skits mixed with a great host. Its a small enough venue where you can be interactive with the show, but not feel awkward.

  • Pros: funny comedy, sexy ladies
  • Cons: too short

AWESOME Cabaret!

by Lucy Deuce

The Candy Janes show is hilarious and HOT! They're a talented young troupe of dancers/singers and the show is a real riot. I had a lot of fun when I went and plan to go back soon. Definitely go check them out.

  • Pros: Love the Candy Janes show!
  • Cons: Need more skilled bartenders...

Best Cabaret Show in Town!

by Gonzoe

The Candy Janes show is one of the best ways to simultaneously enjoy Guns n' Roses, beautiful women, and comedy at the same time. It's nice to see some burlesque action performed by talented dancers for a change, instead of the usual overweight girls in corsets that don most of these sort of stages. And they even sing, too! Highly, highly, highly recommended.

  • Pros: Numerous
  • Cons: It's only one hour

Great Place for Laughs

by DangerousLaugh

I have been to a lot of clubs in the city and this is a great one to go too. I get skeptical when clubs tell me "TV HEADLINERS" but when I sat down and watched I actually saw these comedians on TV, from VH1, Comedy Central and HBO. Alot of great jokes. I would recommend it. Its always busy so I say call ahead!

  • Pros: Friendly Staff

Awesome Comedy Club

by cordmahl

I had some family in from out of town and rather than do the same 'ol broadway show we decided to go to a comedy club. The club is technically in the theater district so we still did the Times Square thing, but it was refreshing to see some raw comedy. Great club, great comedians, great time...highly recommended!

  • Pros: A ton of fun...
  • Cons: none

GOOD COMEDY for cheap!

by COMEDYLOVERnyc

Hi went the other night and I live close by, but has friends in town. We had a great time saw the best comedians in NYC and paid half what I would have paid anywhere else in the city. I was surprised that most of the comedians I had seen on TV, so it was exciting to have my friends from Oklahoma see them in person. Thanks Broadway Comedy Club!

My face still hurts from laughing so hard

Was recently at Broadway comedy club and saw christian finnegan from vh1...What a wonderful suprise.

I have been to Broadway Comedy Club 5 times. Once I saw Jim Gaffigan there...I thought nothing could top that experience but Broadway Comedy Club fails to disappoint. The staff is always pleasant and you never know who might drop in to do comedy. I would recommend it to anyone in town to see comedy.

  • Pros: Very reasonable drink prices
  • Cons: None

Funny Comics & Great Wings

by gypsydoodle

Best comedy club in Manhattan. Having attended many comedy clubs, the Broadway Comedy Club is the best blend of location, price and talent..I bought tickets in Times Square, walked a few short blocks and was there. The club is nicely appointed. I saw great comics, many who I have recognized from Comedy Central and HBO. Compared to other clubs in the city it was reasonably priced. Best wings in town, and as an extra treat they served Juniors Cheescake , heaven on earth.

Would highly recommend Broadway Comedy Club and hope to be there soon.

  • Pros: Great comedians..Great wings and desserts
  • Cons: none

Possibly the worst comedy club experience there is.

by dj_kuz

Being a local Hells Kitchener, thought I would try out our local comedy club. What did we have to lose right? Please keep in mind that I have been to at least 10 comedy clubs in the city for reference

Here is a list of my experience:

Noise-- Seemed like an out of control high school cafeteria. Noisy, rude, no control. Could barely hear the comedians. People seemed disinterested. Accoustics were terrible. Employees and people coming in and out at will. No control.

Crowd--Seemed to cater towards tourists and./or underage people. Comedians: Only stayed for half of the show but they seemed terrible. Almost like an open mike night.

Drinks-- The rum and coke and wine we had were so bad -- we could not drink them. Supposedly they don't have a full liquor license -- who knows.

Management--Supposedly the manager was in Israel and that's why it was chaotic. Are you kidding me? They gave us free tickets. Do you want them? For $40+ dollars, for just drinks -- you can have them.

I am not usually this negative but wanted to protect future patrons from this place. If you are not an underage person or tourist, it might be the worst experiece ever. It was so bad -- we had to walk out.

  • Pros: ?
  • Cons: Noise, people, management, comedians, environment
