My buddies and I get together for dinner every few months in Manhattan and someone suggested STK. We made a reservation for Friday at 9:30PM for a party of 12. We arrived around 9:15 to check in and went to the bar for some drinks (Beer $8 & Mixed Drink $12-14). We were checked on by a hostess a few times and given updates on our table. We wound up being seated at 10pm but we didnt mind it as we were enjoying our time at the bar soaking in the scene. We were seated at a table in the back corner which to be honest was tight for 12 pretty big guys but we managed. Our server was excellent! Bread was refreshed every few minutes as well as our drinks. Most of us ordered the steaks which all came out cooked to our desire. The sides were excellent. We ordered the the corn pudding, parmesian truffle fries, grilled asparagus, spinach and mushrooms and all were delicious! Compared to the traditional steak restaurants around, the food here was very light and definitely not as oily/greasy which was nice. We were stuffed after dinner and did not have dessert so I can not comment on that. If you are very hungry, impatient, do not have time to spare and do not enjoy a loungy atmosphere with music bumping in the background, do not go here. I would definitely return again and all of us were very satisfied and had a great time.
Pros: Ambience/People Watching/Loungy/Well prepared food/Worth a Try!!
Cons: Cramped Seating/Long Waits/Pricy
