This club is ridiculous! A**holex knows that his uneducated self is never going to get into a position again with power so he takes advantage of the little bit of important position he is given. ...if you didn't work for the club you think they would let you in?? i think not! You collect your tips buddy because when the club is no longer happening and all those rich and educated people who pretended to like you or even respect you no longer give a a** about you.. you will be NOTHING ONCE lAGAIN! You have every right to be exclusive to your oh im sorry to the owners club i hope you understand their is a world beyond tenjune.

For starters the doorman is just plain old rude.
For those who said he's a nice person, perhaps it's bc you know him outside of his "doorman" role. There was a group of 10 of us (all NYC girls) and 1 friend got turned down. That's just awful.
We then had a bouncer right by our table who kept shoving something up his nose...that of course made our table location extra special and completely uncomfortable.
To top our night off after 3 bottles of Belvedere and repeatedly being asked to dance closer to our table the waitress then tried to get my drunk friend to give her a larger tip after the tip included already came out to $300.
Talk about low class. This place went from an nyc hot spot to a total rip off where apprently tools only hang out.
- Pros: music
- Cons: mostly everything else
He's actually a nice person..

I've never had a problem w/ Alex, and neither have my friends, including guys. I know him personally to a certain extent and he's actually a nice person. Like someone previously stated, it's not his venue- he's only doing his Job, which includes a memo from the owners on what kinds of people get in... If anything, he's been more lenient these past few winter months as I've seen not-so-pretty or skinny girls slip by... But once the weather warms up and people come out of hibernation, I hope the doors get tighter. ; )
- Pros: Mostly everything.
- Cons: Bad cell phone reception; pretty much lose all bars past coat check.
Loser doorman Alex, even bigger loser owner Mark

Went there last weekend with some gf's and wow , this place is so done. Sure it was good a year ago but the only people trickling into this place now are D listers if there were such a thing. One of the owners or some pathetic loser claiming to be an owner said his name was Mark, tried desperately to pick us up. He worked at one of my girlfriends at first and after she turned him down tried the same thing on me. It was pathetic and desperate. We wont bet back.
- Cons: Tenjune.
Boring

Me and my friends used to be up in Tenjune every weekend for three months about a year ago. We were all between the ages of 17 and 19. Maybe one or two 20 year olds. But yeah for the most part all in high school. I'm a dude by the way so you don't get it twisted and think I'm some hot girl that was just getting in. But basically some kid I know had a table there every weekend and we'd just go. That's not to say is was always easy. That ridiculous doorman, I think his name is Alex or something, was such a pain. One time I showed up late and my friends came up to tell him. He said no and was acting like the clown that he is. Anyways, four of my friends went into the smoking area and talked to me. We pushed the barrier forward slowly as we talked. Then, when I was sure none of the bouncers were looking I slipped into the smoking area, finished my cigarette, and went in. It's totally easy. Obviously not the most classy style but if you really want in sometimes you gotta keep it real. Ultimately inside was boring. I only ever went there cause that kid had a table and it was easy (usually). Hot girls. But trashy hot. Perfect for the guys in there. Mostly the terrible banker types that all were a variation of the same outfit. Leather shoes or loafers, designer bootcut jeans, and a tucked in fresh pressed button down. Here and there you see the typical skeezy promoter type wearing a corny fedora. I'm somewhat of a hipster so I looked out of place in my trashed Vans, skinny jeans, and hoodie or t-shirt. But I loved looking out of place for those god awful people in there. So corny and played out. Same with the whole area. I've since moved on to the whole divebar/hipster scene which I find corny too. But if you're in need of a breath of fresh air from Tenjune and the Meat Packing district then try your luck at Beatrice. It's gotten old and corny for me but I had fun times there at one point.
- Pros: It used to be a hard door so we felt cool being 17 and inside while 35 rish bankers got the axe
- Cons: Everything... it's just boring corny music, trashy crowd, ridiculously priced drinks, and horrible door

I went to tenjune for my girlfriends birthday. I made a reservation for my party and when I got there, there seemed to be no problem. The door guy was nice and we all walked right in. When we got inside I was amazed at how nice this club is. The seating at the table wasnt very big but it served as a home base for my party. The music was good, a mix of rock, top 40 and hip hop. I was surprised to see a mixture of ppl all ages there, yet it was saturday night . All in all my experience was good, the waitress I had was on point and security was helpful. I would def go back
- Pros: great amostphere, good looking crowd, great staff, awesome energy and music
- Cons: crowded, long line
Who is this guy?

Alex needs to be replaced. This lounge would be a far better place with someone who has a more pleasant personality. He lacks charisma, he is not personable in even the least sense, he needs to be replaced.
- Pros: Great scene
- Cons: Alex
Alex is corny

I'm pleasantly surprised reading all of these reviews about Tenjune/Alex. We had a large group of friends there and paid for 3 tables of bottle service. Unfortunately, a few of our friends got split from the group and arrived to the club late. Alex wouldn't let them in. He said, "yeah, i saw that group. I don't think so" - as if they were just not aesthetically pleasing to him! It doesn't make any sense to split up a group of friends when we are paying for your services and are likely to come back if you treat us well! But, he managed to make the night a lot less fun by separating us.
- Pros: Doesn't get super crowded
- Cons: Not friendly door man, rip off after paying for your whole party and they don't let everyone in
Overrated..

Take this review from a bartender who used to work at another meat packing area club, that Tenjune is so over. I went for a Christmas party there this past weekend, and I was surprised by the attitude that is still being maintained here. It's quite funny, when you are being belittled by the ugliest staff I've ever seen. I mean if you club is all about "the look" then you should present the look through your staff.
That was just the beginning though . My friend who had the party is a VP at high level business, and spent mucho dinero, and was treated so horrible, I was mortified. After his party was over, they proceeded to escort him, and his party out of the facility. Completely unprofessional, but then again the people that work there probably have a GED, and were never trained on professional, or how to make money.
Lastly, the drinks were horrible, and the door man, Alex is such a loser. I don't know who ever told him he could be so cruel to people, but he should invest in a mirror or some plastic surgery, cause he is not easy to look at, and he is a doorman-way to obtain big life goals!
Anyway, don't waste your time because there are so many great places around that area that don't have the attitude, and way better music.

I planned to spend my birthday at Tenjune on Thursday, November 13th and ran into some major issues with the doorman, Alex. He kicked out my boyfriend who had simply gone upstairs to speak to a couple of the girls who weren't being allowed in. They willingly took our money at the door and at the bar and proceeded to treat us like trash outside. Considering it was a cold, rainy night, there were about five people on line and we're in the grips of a recession, you would think places like this would lose some of the attitude if they want to stay in business. This is not a place worth the time or effort, especially when you have to deal with a glorified doorman named Alex who thinks he's God and takes his job a little too seriously considering it's based on superficiality and his ego. Get a clue!
- Cons: Pretentious, attitude, rude doorman

Tenjune hasnt missed a beat. The only people who say Tenjune isnt hot anymore are the people that still cant get in. From the music, to the drinks, to all the beauiful ladies, this place is a must. Door is tight so make sure you know how to get in
- Pros: music,
- Cons: tight door
