Best burger on 7th Ave
by burgerlover2
Best burger I've had all year.Being new to the neighborhood, I have been searching for a great burger. Found it at brgr! Not sure what grass-fed means, but it sure is good and melts in your mouth. With bathing suit weather behind us, you have to try the shake. It gets three WOWs. Staff was busy, but kindof friendly. pricey, but worth it.
- Pros: Tastey and fresh
- Cons: 10 minute wait
Nothing Special

One step above McDonald's. There are a lot of burger places in NYC. i would not recommend going to this one. Burger was average, atmosphere was blah.
- Cons: Food and Service
Greasy, bland, messy, overpriced
by misskittyq
And that was just the veggie burger. The fries were like fast food, and the shake wasn't as great as the reviews said it was. I spent almost $20 there. For the only time ever.
- Pros: none
- Cons: overpriced, bad food
not a good idea between the hours of 11am & 11pm
by Brgrsux
Like so many new lunch places in NYC these days, Brgr takes a really simple food idea and screws it up, royal-y w/ cheese. It took a good twenty minutes for the surly waiter-dude to drop the greasy sac in my hands. Back at work, I opened the cutesey bag to find a crumpled foil ball with a crumpled cheeseburger. I guess my burger was the one the cooks kept pulling apart and reassembling in front of me. All this: (1) chesseburger w/ complementary fixins and (1) fountain soda = $10.02. But the crowd makes it worth it: 30 yr old dufuses from Columbus OH going on about their summer long bender, alongside the usual slog of balding Bruce-Willis-Dads sneering and drooling at unlucky ladies.
I am sorry if I sound like an a-hole, I just really didn't enjoy it, especially b/c of the cost of it. I also take full responsibility for any and all spelling mistakes.
- Pros: style over substance
- Cons: expensive, slow and greasy
Expensive and Slow, Large Portions
by opinionz
I went in to brgr on a Sunday night and ordered a veggie burger and fries. It was over $10! Additionally, it wasn't air conditioned even though it was well into the 80s after a day in the mid 90s, so I didn't want to stay to eat there, as I had planned.
There were only about 4 other people ordering/waiting for food in the place, with four cooks and it took 16 minutes for me to get my food! They brought it out in a basket so they had to re-wrap it up and then I was on my way.
The food itself was alright. The french fries were kinda skinny and a little too salty, but that's all in my preference. The portion was generous. The veggie burger wasn't bad, wasn't good. It also was on the larger side. Like others said, the toppings were lacking, even though mine were very basic (ketchup, lettuce, onions).
In all, I don't think I will go back because it was so expensive and not amazing on any front.
- Pros: Nice interior
- Cons: Slow, expensive, no A/C
Overpriced, way below average burgers. Skip it.

Let me start out by saying I love burgers. You'd be hard-pressed to find a bigger fan than I when it comes to this carnivore's staple.
When brgr opened, my coworkers were the first to try it out. I heard it was expensive and figured I'd wait to hear a few opinions before I tried out a brand new location. The initial response I received was that it was ok, but nothing special. A couple months later, I asked another coworker that I saw had gotten it for lunch. Same response.
Finally, this past week I was craving a burger. McDeath is right across the street from work but screw that. I decided to try it out for myself. The staff was friendly enough. I ordered "the brgr" to go, which is said to come with american cheese, brgr sauce, and grilled onions. I couldn't taste the grilled onions, so I decided to search for them. I found about 3 specks of them. This was pretty much the case with all of the toppings. They were there, but in minimal amounts. Luckily I had some BBQ sauce to salvage the extremely average (and frozen) burger.
I also got the onion hay, which was good but not worth $2.50.
Paying almost $11 for this without a drink is a rip off. If you want a better experience and a truly superior burger, I highly recommend 67 Burger in Brooklyn. (and no, I don't work for/own 67 Burger)
I really don't understand the high rating this place currently has on here. It certainly doesn't deserve it.
- Pros: onion hay was good
- Cons: expensive, meager toppings, bland
don't bother
by itsmeyeahme
Crazily overpriced, tasteless burgers with overcooked, cold fries. Could barely even pick up the burgers to eat them they were so soggy. We thought we'd treat ourselves but for a mouthful of expensive blah we shoulda just kept looking for the pizza slices we'd had in mind. Grrr.
(It cost $28 for 2 burgers, 2 fries & 2 sodas. So we expected jumbo, delicious burgers with crispy, fresh, 'hot' fries - not the day old, wet, totally limp, real bad imitation happy meals that we got. We didn't even finish them).
- Pros: none
- Cons: one big one
Cant get the order right!
by jackmsw
Been there twice. Food is tasty but...
Two visits, and twice they got our orders wrong. And they weren't complicated.
Last night our fries were the dreggs of the fryer.
Buns didnt come close to holding up the burgers - ours fell apart completely last night.
Had to ask for a cup even though I had ordered and paid for a fountain drink.
And the service is not outgoing or particularly friendly.
Not going back. Too many other good burger joints.
- Pros: Tasty
- Cons: Orders were wrong, bad buns, soggy fries
Great toppings & friendly service!!!!!
by jsp424
Walked in off the street to find a great suprise. Great juicy burgers with fun toppings. The atmosphere is casual and the service is friendly. There are not too many quick burger places where you can find gruyere, avocado & herbed mayo as a topping which is fabulous on the turkey burger. It's a great place for a quick burger. Better yet you can have a glass of vino or beer to top it off!
