Fig & Olive Downtown

Nice Concept, Poorly Executed
3 Star Rating: Average

I like this restaurant in concept, a great Mediterranian restaurant with fresh figs, olives and olive oil; however, the mediocre menu and poor service failed to meet my expectations. The olive plate was microscopic. Likewise, the olive oil sampler was tiny and the Fig & Olive barely brought enough bread for the six of us. In fact it took three hours for my party to make it through all of our courses. It didn't help that the server overcharged us multiple times. The one saving grave was the apple crisp and espressos.

Pros: Cool & Fun atmosphere

Cons: Slow & Poor service, Food just misses it

Olive oil infuses every Mediterranean dish at this warehouse-turned-restaurant in the Meatpacking District.  See the full editorial review.
