Professional, self-motivated, and intuitive! Nadia knows exactly which look will make you look great. The hair extensions are natural looking and long lasting. She walks you through the whole process and tells you how to maintain the health of your hair and the extensions. I highly recommend Nadia!!!

I went to Nadia's salon after doing research on websites like these and called her up immediately to set up an appointment. From talking to her over the phone, I could already sense that she was a very positive person who was interested in maintaining healthy hair. Initially, I wanted to get a hair weave however, after my hair consultation, Nadia suggested that I take really good care of my own natural hair before putting in a weave. Most stylists are so money hungry that they don't care about the repercussions of not properly caring for your hair. I really appreciated her honesty and trusted her enough to do a hair cut instead. It was the BEST haircut ever!!!!! I got soooooooo many compliments, but most important, I looked beautiful and felt confident from the moment I left the salon...in fact I'm still in LOVE with hair cut and it's been 2 months!!!!!!!! I went back to get a wash and set (which was also fab), and I have to admit that I haven't been back since...however I will be going back and SOON:) Even though Nadia has many celebrity clients, she treats all her customers with respect and is very intuitive as to what their needs are. I can't think of a better person to style my hair...AND I'm extremely picky so that says a lot:)

Cons: A little pricey...however when compared to cheaper salons...worth every penny

I found Nadia in a pinch! I was planning a big vacation and had gotten my hair weaved at a salon out in Queens, and absolutely HATED the results. I found Nadia's information on City Search, but I was a little wary of getting my hair done by a stylist I'd found online. But, all the reviews were positive and after a quick phone conversation, she put me right at ease. She was able to take me for an appointment with only a few days notice. Her salon is very bright and clean and everyone there is completely professional. After a quick consultation, her assistant washed and dried my hair and Nadia began putting my weave in. I have never had my hair done by someone so conscientious. She doesn't just ask what style you like, she wants to know everything about your hair to give you the best results. We went over the products I use, my morning routine, the style I like, everything so that I would be completely happy with my weave. I am! It's been over a month and my hair still look like I just got it done. I can pull it up in a ponytail, wet it and wear it curly, or flatiron it for a straight look. I really love it and it looks completely natural. The only way you'd know this wasn't my hair is because I went from a chin length bob to hair down my back overnight. If you want a natural looking weave, Nadia is definitely worth the money.

All the great reviews on Nadia are so true! I am so thankful to have found such a talented, professional, and personable stylist. I have been blessed to have had my hair touched by some of the best and she ranks up there at the top of the list. The first time she did my hair I had a sew-in that needed some TLC and she made it beautiful. I received several compliments on my hair. The second time I went to have my weave redone and she convinced me to wear my own hair since it had grown so much. She made it look beautiful of course, but it will take some getting used to since I've been wearing a weave for about 2 years now. She could have easily made a significant amount of more money doing the weave, yet she was honest and really looked out for my best interest and that is hard to come by. I am very particular about my hair and trust me when I say that Nadia is exceptional!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Nadia and the services she provides. From the moment I called to inquire about possible new hairstyles, I was instantly put at ease. I am 40 years old and have never had a weave in my hair - needless to say I was incredibly apprehensive and worried. Nadia asked all the right questions and assured me she would always make suggestions that were in the best interest on maintaining my healthy hair. She listened for an indication of the kind of lifestyle I live - my profession, activities, and hair maintenance preferences - in order to provide advice specific to my needs. When we decided on a plan of action for my hair, I was then promptly contacted by her assistant to arrange the logistics of my time at the salon. Upon arriving, I was greeted warmly and professionally by both Nadia and her assistant. She did a fantastic job of alleviating my fears about having a weave in my hair. I was calmed throughout the procedure by Nadia's patience in answering my gazillion (probably silly) questions. My hairstyle is absolutely gorgeous. She incorporated my own hair so nicely with the weave - it looks like my own full head of hair with no indication of a weave. My family and friends love it and I feel like a new person. I have since decided that the only one allowed to touch my hair is Nadia. She is a lovely person that treats her clients like princess sisters of hers. Her services are well worth the meticulous time she spends working with your hair, as well they are worth the cost. Nadia is truly the best and I'm thrilled to claim her as my hair stylist!!!!!!

After working as an international professional model for three years I have come across an array of hair stylists from runway shows, photo shoots, and top hair salons. However, Nadia is the best stylist and the only one I will ever use. I was in desperate need of getting my a full hair weave done before I left the US for a month long vacation. I found Nadia though city search after looking everywhere, and was able to book an appointment at the last minute. While initially I found the price to be costly it was comparable, her website was the only site I found professional and up to date, and in the end the quality value surpassed the price value. It was the best choice I have ever made, Nadia is professional and answered all my questions about hair care, she has a wonderful assistant who made me feel comfortable, and Nadia listened to exactly what I wanted from a weave, gave me personalized recommendations that best suited my features, and gave me the best hair cut I have ever had! I left feeling confident and more beautiful than ever. I waited to write my review to determine the condition of my hair after removing the weave 10 weeks later, and I have decided to be a forever loyal customer of Nadia for as long as possible. My hair was protected without the breakage I have had too often, it was easy to wash, and the advice she gave me to take care of my weave made it the easiest weave care I have had to date!

Pros: Best quality of service, clean trendy ambience, very professional.

Cons: Little longer than I expected but the pros greatly outweights any cons!

Nadia's hair salon is by far the best that I have been to. I just moved to nyc and one of my concerns was finding a place that would be able to take care of my hair extensions. I am unfamiliar with the area so I googled a lot of different places unsuccessfully. Most salons have no idea how to manage extension. I found Nadia through citysearch and was encouraged by the fact that she had a lot of great reviews and she specialized in extensions. I went a little nervously...the entrance of the salon is very unassuming but I was at once comforted by the clean and bright salon space. Nadia is SO nice and also has great hair which is a promising attribute in a stylist. She is extremely knowledgeable about hair of all kinds, extensions and weaves. She also gave me the most awesome haircut EVER. I highly recommend Nadia and her salon.

Okay, I was totally skeptical about getting a weave in my hair, something I had never done before except some years ago, and it was a hot mess, awful, bulky, and itchy. But, I was getting my first headshots, last wednesday actually, because I will be graduating from one of the top acting graduate schools in the country in May ...Now we women of color know how hard it is and damaging to try to curl our own hair everyday, so I searched everywhere for a month to find a person or website that might relieve my fear and give me comfort. Also, I wanted to love their work. I even PRAYED on this! No one grabbed me without a question mark attached. Finally, at the last minute, I found Nadia Vassell's website. I was hooked. I called her, she set up a consultation for me, and I had peace right when I walked in the salon and met her. My worries were GONE! At the last minute, she scheduled me in, because my headshots were days away. I tell you she is so gifted at what she does. She is humble, sincere, and is not a Diva, although she is beautiful and looks like one. She knew what I wanted right when I told her. She didn't even make me feel inferior for talking too much about it. I sensed her calmness and confidence in her abilities, but I am sure she understands that people need to express their desires anyway for security. I looked at my hair afterwards and I was in AWE at the transformation. I said, "It looks so beautiful. I don't deserve to look this glamorous!" Also, it was sooooo natural that it looked like my own hair grew out. I went to class and people didn't notice at first until they saw the length in the back. One girl didn't notice I had extensions until 3 days after when I pulled it in a ponytail and she noticed the length. This is amazing! It is so light and the hair is real, not tangly, REAL and it feels like mine. Nadia, I love you. I want to stick with you for life, even if I do leave the New York area or become famous. You are DEVINE!

If you've ever wanted to have glamorous hair, look no further, Nadia Vassell can you make your hair dreams a reality. For the longest I had been searching for a hairstylist who was in tune to my hair needs. From the moment I met with Nadia I felt totally at ease. She was EXTREMELY kind, patient, and professional. I showed her a picture to give her an idea of how I wanted my hair to look but I don’t think I needed the picture, Nadia new exactly what look I was going for. As she did my hair our conversation was fun and upbeat and before I knew it my appointment was over. When I got out of her chair I was completely transformed. My hair looked the best I've ever seen it! It had life and it was soft and silky. She totally surpassed my expectations. Even with all the recognition she’s received for being a stylist to a range of A-list clients she has a very humble and down to earth vibe. Overall I loved my experience with Nadia …

If you've ever had a weave before ,most hairdressers are only concerned with the weave and and tend to neglect your own hair by slapping a few big braids in your head and then attaching the hair. However, Nadia takes the time to skillfully braid my hair so that the end result is smooth (NO BUMPS AT ALL) and natural while my own hair is very well kept. On top of that, Nadia is also an expert stylist. She styles and shapes my hair to perfection which adds to the naturalness of the look. I get stopped in the street by people on a daily basis who compliment me on my hair. Additionally, my weaves last approximately anywhere from three to five months. Although you should only keep a weave for about two, I am never rushed or pressured to take out the hair because it doesn't look good anymore. And furthermore (yes there's more) every time I see Nadia, she has learned a new and improved technique to offer which adds to her all ready astounding capabilities and gives me, the client an array of options. I have been getting my hair weaved for many years and Nadia Vassell is the most professional and talented stylist that I have EVER come across. An appointment with Nadia is always a pleasant and accomodating experience. There is no waiting, the atmosphere is friendly and spa-like, and the actual salon is beautifully modern and chic. Her stylist/client relationship is extremely admirable. Even between her celebrity client bookings she manages time for her regulars and is never out of touch. I've been going to Nadia for about five years now and will continue to go to her for fifty more. A good relationship with a good hair dresser is hard to find and a great relationship with an great hair stylist is almost impossible. I have that with Nadia and value it very higly.
