Great Place to Host A Party

I recently hosted a surprise party at Arctica for my husband's 30th birthday. Everything was great! The manager of the bar was readily available to make sure that all of my guests were having a good time. We were provided with our own sectioned off area with security. The bartender made great drinks, including lots of mojitos for all our friends. I ordered 3 platters of appetizers and got one free because of the amount of guests I invited. At first, I was concerned that there was not going to be enough finger food, but once I saw the platters, I knew there would be too much food. Arctica also played a great mix of music at just the right volume--loud enough to party, but low enough to hear your friends talking. I highly recommend Arctica Bar and Grill as a place to host your next event or just to go to on the weekend. It is a very comfortable atmosphere with a good crowd--no crazy college kids and no creepy men trying to pick up young girls. I did a lot of research for this party, and I was very skeptical, but Arctica definitely exceeded my expectations in every way. And, it was reasonably priced, too! You can't ask for much more.

Classy But Says I Wanna Party At the same time!!!

I just attended my friends birthday party in a private room and it was great. The place is actually very nice and appeasing to the eye. Also being on 3rd ave you can literally do a bar crawl if you're going out with your buddies. The drinks were were also fairly priced....so no complaints had a blast.

Exceptional!

I recently attended a private party at Arctica. The atmosphere is great, an upscale pub, if there is such a thing. While I had a great time, I was bothered the next day because I lost my wallet. I returned to the bar and was so pleasantly surprised to find it was safely kept. When if was returned to me, all was in tact. I felt like I had the luck of the Irish on my side and my faith in human kindness had been restored. Needless to say, the service is EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you to the staff for your honesty.

Best service and drinks in NYC!!!

Arctica Bar and Grill has amazing food and a range of unique and cassic drinks. In addition, the staff is incredibly attentive and polite. Actica also plays a really good mix of music, a little bit of everything for everyone, something that can make or break a bar in my opinion. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone either living or visiting New York.

Best in the neighbourhood!!

It really is a bar that keeps getting better. Hadn't been there in 3 months or so. Had some friends in for a party in the Ice Bar last Saturday night which was awesome. Then we went back every night until christmas eve. Big fireplace and good drinks, a few Irish bartenders which is cool. So much different than all the other Murray Hill bars. Me like!!

• Pros: Bulldog Gin, Absinthe, Lots of draught beers, Jalepeno poppers!!!

Wonderful Staff and Great Scene

Just had my birthday party here last night and everything was fantastic. It all started with the manager James and his quick response and availability to all questions I had prior to the night...and it carried over to Ronan the owner and his attentiveness to the tables held for my group and his friendliness and willingness to help...The door staff was extremely friendly, the dj was great and the bartenders were quick and friendly...the crowd was good...not the typical pretentious bunch...and the vibe was great...

I will definately be going back here and I recommend it to everyone --you will definately have a great time-it was most likely the best experience I have had in a city bar in years!!!

I used to come here a lot last year when I didn't know what I wanted to do that night- its decent, plays pretty good music, and is an ok time.. other than that.. nothing really to report.

I had my birthday party here, and my friends and I had the best time ever. They were very accommodating, the bartender was awesome, and we had a lot of fun here. Can't wait to head back there for a fun happy hour!

Amazing Bar and Staff...I was there during this

I would like to comment on the review below me by slscreative. I was there the night that all this went down. First of all, those people were totally hammered and had had so much to drink that they were ruining the entire night for the entire rest of the bar. Second of all, they started a fight at the bar and were totally NOT COOL. I go to Arctica all the time. The staff and the clientel are chill and la-d back. These people were awful and deserved to be kicked out of the bar. Stop being so bitter slscreative, you got exactly what you deserved!! Arctica is an awesome place and has no room for jerks like you. I had my company party here and my birthday party here. THIS PLACE ROCKS!!

AVOID if you are female or care about women

IF you are pregnant you do not belong here. My friends and I were celebrating a friend?s birthday and one of our friends is pregnant. She had a seat, which of course we made sure of and some stupid drunk girl wanted it. She was friends with some one who worked who insisted that she get the seat. When we defended her seat their reaction was ?If she is pregnant she doesn?t belong in a bar.? That is a quote . ask the little bouncer with a gap in his teeth. He told me to quote him in this review which will be posted everywhere. Why should a pregnant lady be in a bar.? She paid for her food and for others drinks?. I ask you. Who is he to tell her where to go???
