As soon as one i read one of the reviews about Euro Trash, i knew exactly who you were talking about. The female at the door is a worthless piece of sh*t. Gold bar is an extremely upscale classy place. I think having her at the door went straight to her head since all she is some chic with a clip board. Who by the way does not even look like a chic, she reminds me of Peter Pan with her boyish hair and skeletal legs. I have had many problems with her in the past at Cain and Stereo, you pretty much need to kiss her flat @ss at the door so you dont have a problem, if your a pretty girl, she will see you as competition and be rude. This is a great place to go to just be prepared to get into a physical altercation after meeting Mr.Pan because chances are she/he will p*ss you off

Despite the very poor rating I took a chance at this place the other night. It is just one of the best place in NY. I think most of the people who gave a bad rating were just not able to get in (like people from St Etienne trying to get in the Fish club...). The guy at the door, "little will" is from Scandals, we got in wearing sneakers and polo with my friend but you better show the costume national shoes and at least cartier watch if you are not on any list. I really recommend this place, crowd is just great. Yes, it is full of models but surprisingly enough they are the one who actually put the bottle on the table (I am serious). Chances are that you are not going back to your hotel by yourself...
Pros: Little Will - the Gold Finger cocktail (a specialty)
Cons: ? none..

Overwhelmingly pretentious place, tacky as all get out. I couldn't stop laughing. Place was nearly dead on Friday night at midnight. DO. NOT.GO. HERE.
Pros: none
Cons: everything

I take pleasure writing these reviews as I usually find myself writing positive responses about places I visit. Before I drifted over to this place I had just been given VIP treatment at a new restaurant with celebs flanking either side of my table. Then....I arrive at this bar and approach the front door. There are 2 people sitting and one big bouncer standing. I knew the password for getting in and getting a table. I asked if they needed it and they said No. Didnt check our IDs either and both my friend and I are in our early 20s. Ok so cool no prob right? Not so - we walked into the main room and it was completely empty with the exception of a table of older men. Not 15 minutes later the manager or whoever was "running" the show came over and asked us to move. I couldnt believe it. No one was there which I brought to her attention and she said too bad this table is reserved. I asked why we werent told and let her know the password and that we were with a party due to arrive. She dismissed this and then asked us to leave the place altogether. I still cant believe it happened. Quite comical at this point. Unless you are attracted to men in their 60s, bad service and cheap decor I can guarantee this isnt the place for you. Happy hunting.
Pros: none
Cons: all - seriously - all

This place is quite a spectacle, but it's not for everyone. It's a small venue located in the heart of Little Italy, expect only models, celebrities, movers & shakers, and industry figures inside. They like to keep it filled but not to capacity; giving the selected crowd let past the "gold" ropes some breathing room. The music is similar to that of what you would hear at Beatrice Inn, an eclectic blend of new & old. The drinks are fabulous but expect to be done with them faster than usual, the optical illusion the ice they use creates less room for their specialty cocktails in the glass. It's not your typical lounge and their door policy is one of the tightest in the city, but with good reason. If you fit the profile feel free to give it a shot, you'll be pleasantly surprised once inside, but if not you're better off not wasting your time.
Pros: Great crowd, music, atmosphere
Cons: Small venue, tough door

I was at Gold Bar on a Saturday night, around 12pm for a birthday celebration. After waiting outside in the freezing cold for 20 minutes, the rude door keeper never even appologized for the wait. I was invited and on the guestlist mind you, I hadn't show up unexpectedly. I am no expert on bars but I can tell you all the fuss at the door was not worth what was inside. A compiled list of what makes this place not so great: 1) Tacky Gold Decor with Skulls, which is so two seasons ago. 2) Rude Staff, especially the Maitre D, who told me I could not rest my bag on a table unless I bought a bottle 3) The upper east side meet New Jersey crowd was bad, I mean, really, really, really bad.
Pros: none
Cons: Too many to write all of them down

I could not agree more with the comment posted above, the only way to describe the "lady" at the door is to call her by her true name Euro trash, her attitude was terrible, she pretended the bar was full and by the time we got in (20 min later) the place was totally empty, expensive drinks, mediocre music, I will not be going back to this place.
Pros: None
Cons: Rude service, expensive drinks, whisky list below average

To think this place is a business is beyond me. Here i come to spend money and have a good time only to be treated rudely from the moment I got to the door. The euro trash female at the door was rude and the staff was too. For this I will never spend a dime at this eatablishment. To think I would pay for this type of treatment is silly. I would not recommend this place what so ever. As a matter of fact I am cancelling a party that was originally scheduled before I had the misfortunate chance of going there. Stay away trust me on this one. With all the places in the city I would try else where G
Pros: unfortunately none
Cons: Rude Door staff, Expensive watered down drinks

Well, the woman at door should lighten up, I have been a customer since the early days of Cain, since I have given up alcohol therefor bottle service, I am considered a second tier client. What is one suppose to do? pour bottles of champagne on my head? I DONT DRINK...
