My wife and I love this place! The food is wonderful! We eat there all the time and never get tired of it. The atmosphere is peaceful and mellow, service is excellent and I haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't like. On top of which the prices are very reasonable. I have recommended many friends go to Chiyono's and no one has been disappointed yet. In fact, most of them have become regular customers. My only concern is that everyone will find out what a secret gem the place is and we won't be able to get in! My personal favorites are the saba shioyaki (grilled mackeral), kaku ni (stewed pork), and nasu miso (eggplant with miso). I also love the special avocado salad. Note to really have a nice meal I recommend getting a 2-3 appetizers and 2 entrees and sharing. Note if you are looking for sushi or teriyaki this is not the place. It is real Japanese home cooking. Enjoy!
