What users are saying:
fraud or a bad way to go out of business
by divancho
Going out of business is one one thing, but continuously telling clients that they are moving to a new location, but at the same time being unreachable and still accepting payments for gift cards is more like fraud.
- Cons: fraud
def gone

it seems like this provider of great massage has completely disappeared. So sad. they could at least call people back!
- Pros: had great massage
- Cons: gone without notice

I am in the same boat as you. I leave messages on the machine but no one calls me back. I work around the corner and the building at 518 5th Ave is all boarded up.
- Pros: Memories
- Cons: Gone
Is it open anymore?
by chastev67
Kneaded Bodyworks seemed to have been very much geared towards terrific massages and excellent customer service. I have not been able to get anyone to return my phone calls since December 2008. Does anyone know if it is open anymore, as it was a nice blend of reasonable prices and great service.
- Pros: Used to have amazing massages
- Cons: No response for months

Excellent massage. It helps this is right near my house. I'm so glad I walked in one day since I've never been anywhere else since! Excellent service... wonderful.
- Pros: Great Service
Out of Business?
by astutius
Had been going there for awhile...booked a massage with the owner Doug for a Saturday, showed up and door to building was boarded up more or less. Tried to call them and go not answer. I followed up with an email too during the week to see what was going on. VERY disappointing because I really liked this place - they should at least advise client if they are out of business.

Kneaded Bodyworks is very much open, we just moved down the street to 433 Fifth Avenue, 3rd fl. Our previous building, together with the buildings to its left and right, are being torn down to make way for a 70 story condo/'hotel. We have been using temporary space for the past few weeks as the new facility is built out. It is all brand new and we are very happy to continue our longstanding commitment to providing highly-skilled licensed massage therapy. We apologize for any inconvenience during the past few weeks of transition. As one can imagine, these last few weeks have been challenging times in many ways, but our commitment to nyc has never been stronger. We look forward to continuing to serve its community.
Never showed up...

Booked a Sunday morning massage (11am) more than a week in advance. They instructed me to their temporary space at E 40th, and I was there 15 mins early. Door was locked, and no one answered their main phone line. Waited 25 minutes, called again and left a message, then left. No response, no follow up, no thanks.
- Pros: therapists are good...
- Cons: service
Depends on the therapist?
by sophika
I was a little bit dissapointed.I was looking forward to it after reading all the great reviews.
The place is amazing, it was easy to get appointment, friendly front desk. I would not recommend my therapist Gabe( male). He was nice but I did not feel any diffrence after it was over. I was sad and dissapointed.I voiced my concern to the receptionist. She was nice. I will give that place another try with a diffrent therapist
- Pros: ambience, easy to get appointment, reception, great price
- Cons: bathroom, no cold drinks, uncomfortable seats

We strive with great effort to make sure each and every session goes well. And we care about and value every single client. And on the very rare occasion that someone is less than 100% satisfied we address whatever issue there was. Well, we cant do anything about this one! I spoke with this woman the day after her appointment and asked what she meant by being disappointed because she "did not feel any difference after it was over". Had there been some pain that was not relieved or some soreness still prevalent? Oh no she said, nothing like that. She had an expectation that after her session she should feel like she had walked on air and been transported to some other world. And she didn't. Well, such intangibles are impossible to measure. Gabe, her therapist that day, is one of the most talented therapists in nyc and extremely popular with clients seeking a diverse range of skills, from soothing and relaxing to deep tissue , sports and medical. We of course welcome her back again.
Best deep tissue massage of my life
by DonJuan26
On Saturday..had a top notch deep tissue massage with the massage therapist Amber.....very professional establishment.....felt so invigorated...tension from lower back and neck....gone...therapist..very very sweet......highly recommended.......bottom line..best massage of my life =)).....very very accomodating ...plenty of places in nyc to get a massage..but only a dime a dozen where a establishment can back up their work.....Your company definatly backs up its theme of providing massage and other services to reinvigorate the mind, body and soul......thanks Amber
- Pros: relaxing environment.....Amber-massage therapist
- Cons: none none
Awesome massage!
by anjelik32
My boyfriend has been pretty stressed out lately and since he's never had a massage, I thought it would be a great idea to get one together. Kneaded Bodyworks had great reviews, so I decided to give it a whirl. The massages were amazing. I had Gabe and my boyfriend had Celia. They definitely worked all of the knots out of my back. I usually leave a massage a little disappointed because they didn't work my back enough, but not this time. Before the massage they asked us questions about what bothers us, etc and they worked on those areas. We will definitely be going back there!
