The atmosphere and service at this spa is uncomparable. Very quiet and calming, unlike the hustle and bustle found at other spas in Manhattan. They make every effort to ensure that you are relaxed and well taken care of. My new favorite spa!

I have been to this spa several times. Not only do they run the best specials during spa week and the holidays, they take incredible care to make certain that each client is relaxed. When you enter, you are presented with tea or water and a healthy snack. The staff is kind and wonderful and the services are even better. There is no excuse not to go to this spa where you can sit in a private room sip your tea and forget you are in the heart of Manhattan, all for a reasonable price--probably the best in the City.

From the moment I stepped off the elevator I felt I had entered a different, better world. The atmosphere, ambience and peaceful and beautiful surroundings elevated my mood and expectyations. The service and experience did not disappoint. I was treated by the staff as a welcomed guest, treated to tea and chocolats and gently led to the specialists. The facials are glorious and i continue to glow when I think about it. Manicures, pedciures all performed with higest expertise. I will return for other offerings including massage and waxing. It is a special world away from the chaos of Manhattan. It is the only place I will now go to. I have been thoroughly spoiled and plan to stay that way.

I have been to this spa several times for an array of treatments and each experience seems to be better than the last. As soon as you walk in you are taken aback by the serene atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, accommadating, and helpful. I purchased a series treatment package with Robyn, who may be one of the best massage therapists I have ever been with. She has magic hands! Everytime I have been there I've been treated with the utmost respect. After each treatment you are escorted into a relaxation room where the staff serves you delicious herbal teas and fruit. My favorite relaxation room is the "Bamboo Room". Another great thing about La Vie Zen is that the staff never rushes you. They welcome you to stay as long as you would like. They provide the ideal atmosphere to escape the daily stresses of Manhattan. I highly recommend this spa and have referred several of my friends.

My boyfriend and I went for spa week for a couple’s massage. However, they don’t have couple’s room, there must have been a miscommunication when I made the reservations. But even with the slight mishap the spa and staff more than made up for that. First, we were shown to the show/locker room to shower and robe. Then we were shown to a side waiting room where we were served tea and light snack of chocolate covered raisins and cranberries and nuts. We then each went into our separate rooms for our massage afterwards we were shown to a private room to relax and spend time together. Again we were served tea and snack. We were left alone for about 30 minutes and then were offered more tea which we accepted and stayed another 30 minutes. It was really wonderful to unwind after the massage and were not kicked out immediately. The service, ambiance, facilities and treatment were all first-class, everything was impeccable. We even bought another massage package that evening which we’re using this week!

I just love this place. Many wonderful areas to relax, treatments are top-notch, plus a menu of 20 teas. Will definitely be coming back!

I'm an avid spa goer (my guilty pleasure), so trust me when I say that of the hundreds of spas I've been to around the world, the massage and facial I had done here the other day was definitely my favorite...and rarely do I make such bold statements. Beautiful spa...lots of attention to detail (from the jade key holder to the flower arrangement given when they serve you tea) and very feng shui oriented (waterfall, buddha)...they even have an outside patio! The staff is also very friendly and the manager is just darling. I can personally guarantee that you will love this place!

I visited the spa during the spa week. I went for the Bamboo lemongrass foaming scrub, the treatment was fantastic, and the scrub made my skin feel very soft. The lemongrass lotion was refreshing to me skin. The service was great the staff very nice and pleasant. I'm going back to that spa and bringing my friend with me.

Gauzy curtains, waterfall walls, lovely teas and chocolates are part of the ambiance of this extremely relaxing spa experience. The bamboo body scrub left me totally relaxed after a stressful week. The staff is wonderful and truly dedicated to giving you the total luxury spa expeirance. Immediatly I booked future appointments and refered my friends.

What a nice surprise to find such a lovely place - amazing atmosphere. The staff is extremely attentive and they treat you with a tray of tea and flowers in the relaxation rooms. The treatments are wonderful - I had the lemon-grass bamboo scrub that was so nice. And at the end they give you chocolate and they never rush you! Super spa - would definitely return again! Loved it!!
