The best and most reasonably priced vintage store I've found so far, in or around NY! Everything I have bought from Go Fish has been perfectly adorable. And the staff are just as adorable as the stock! My only problem is I always want to buy everything they have in! This would certainly be my number #1 spot for anything for my home. I even blogged about it! Heh.

Pros: Almost everything.

Cons: Not wildly close to the train...but right off the bus route.

This shop has everything you will ever need. Vintage aprons and potholders, MickeyMouse and Hamburgler drinking glasses, Eames Wakefield desks and chairs, art deco bedroom sets, wall mount can openers from the 1960's, Pyrex, Fire King, and FiestaWare, boots, belts, dresses, jackets, board games, jewelry, books, old maps, sewing patterns and fabrics, records, lamps, shot glasses and shakers, alarm clocks... And at incredibly reasonable prices. The atmosphere in the store is fun and warm and the staff are full of great suggestions when you're shopping for gifts.

Pros: great neighborhood, selection, prices, staff

At first, I wondered what this store was doing on the middle of a residential block in Carroll Gardens. Once I passed through the cool vintage clothing outside (ok, one can't just pass by it because there are some awesome shirts there), I was transported into my parents' (and even my own) childhood - where furniture was made well and clocks had hands. My first experience there led to purchasing a melangerie of gems including an 8 x 10 picture of JFK, a gorgeous mirror and a throwback martini shaker. I even picked up a ski jacket which, in its orange and brown hues reminded me of simpler times (and my high school colors). The staff is super-knowledgable and friendly and they even deliver large items. It's a great store for cool gifts for yourself or someone else.

Pros: Service, selection, value, unique items

Found this store on a side street and was pleasantly surprised - they have a great selection of vintage clothes and kitchen ware (lots of Pyrex!) for reasonable prices. and so many of the shoes came in my size (8)!!
