Tiffin is extremely delicious and affordable! Amazing lunch buffet (I think about $7.50)

I love a bunch of Indian restaurants in that area, but after a while I found myself going to Madras Mahal for the yummy food and going to Chennai Garden for their much better badam halwa for desert. When I went to Tiffin Wallah for the first time I got to have amazing food+ amazing desert under one roof! No more having to go restaurant hopping to have the best Indian meal!

• Pros: Delicious all the time+ cheap+ great lunch Buffet
• Cons: the lassi's here are too sweet

Service was great, food was stellar and the price is unbeatable!

I was really impressed by this place. The dishes were amazing and the restaurant treated us well. Best of all was the cheap food that was big enough to share!

Worst

i have no doubt n saying this is the worst place i ever tried for food.very unprofessional people.manager at the back -dark man is very rude.food is very suboptimal, place looks unhygenic(saw roches),saw waiters picking there nose.gross. would never go there again.if u guys have concern about hygeine,care about ur money,want to have decent meal--then this is not the place for u.if there was a star less than one i would choose that

went for lunch this week and was very happy with the quality of the food, especially for such a low price (we didn't realize it was buffet only at lunch). however, the rudeness of the host dampened an otherwise good experience - we were asked to leave within a few short minutes of finishing our food - neither of us went up for seconds & we occupied the table for 28 minutes total (! checked my watch after in disbelief). even friendly attempts to ask to be allowed to digest the meal for 5 minutes while seated proved to be in vain. perhaps charging a few more dollars & letting the customer actually feel welcome would alleviate some of his attitude?

Worst Indian food I've ever tasted

My boyfriend is Indian, and I've accompanied him back to India, so I've had plenty of Indian food. This was by far the blandest we've tasted. However, we both ordered Gujarati dishes at Tiffin Wallah, and we noticed that the menu's emphasis was South Indian, so we're willing to give this place one more shot. However, the Gujarati thali and uthiyu curry we ordered were completely flavorless. There was not even any butter in my curry, despite the menu's promise. Come on, at least give me a splash of ghee, or some cumin or coriander seeds. The meal's only bright spot were the aloo pakoras. Please avoid North Indian food at this place--you won't be sorry.

Great Meal and Service

This is the 2nd time I have eaten at Tiffin Wallah and the food has been excellent. Nicely prepared vegetarian dishes that are not greasy at all. Food is served on lovely dishes. Waiter made suggestions that were terrific. Very clean and contemporary feel to the restaurant. Service was professional and attentive. Great value.

Server, Food & unclean

Is one thing when server is rude which you probably will cope with that if you are really hungry & food is good. As I was seated after straight 15 mins waiting by the door like a fool not like this place was packed that they could not acknowledge 6 ft brown guy last sat night. I had to catch a show so I was in rush so I clearly informed the host who looked like he didnt give R*ts A**.Waiter came with annoyed face didnt event fill me any water or ask for some drink. Straight for order since I was in rush I didnt care placed an order for Mysore Masal dosa specifically asked to make it spicy & cripy I do not like soft dos & again asked him to make it ASAp. Is now 20mins since I ordered & I still do not have my food. So my hungry stomach is very upset and is taking over my temper ....I am trying to get my servers attention he is completely ignored me.So after 5 mins my Dosa shows up Yeah finally. Forgeting everything I touched my dosa as I am crabbing a piece of my delayed dosa which happend to be soft like a cotton . Now I am def mad and hungry so you could imagine how manager should converse after making so many mistakes . He didnt sound sorry his tone was very arrogant. I left $20 bill and jsut walked out of that place I knew it wasnt worthed to even talk to individuals like this who just do not care about customer service, respect or even care what is been ordered and what is being served. I was very dissapointed and mad and swear not to go back there ever again.

Disappointment - food & service

Bluntly is very bad place food is horrible and service is just horrible also. I will not go back again nor will I recommend it to anyone. There are many other restaurant with similar concept around that block .

probably the best Indian I've ever had

This is a great find! The food is absolutely delicious, the portions are very generous, and the price is super reasonable. The atmosphere is good, and the servers are attentive and helpful. Definitely worth a visit, especially on the weekends (when they have great specials).
