I don't think I'll be buying another sleeper sofa that can't fit through narrow apartment hallways. But as long as I have my beast of a hide-a-bed, I'll use this company. They were very friendly, easy to deal with, reasonably priced and efficient. They took apart my Jennifer Convertible's sofa in my old apartment, moved it to my new apartment and re-assembled it with ease. I called a few companies to get rates, and this was not only the most affordable, but clearly the most personable.

Very professional, effecient, and affordable! I would recommend this service to anyone, especially those contemplating getting rid of furnitute they can't fit. I thought I was going to have to get rid of a brand new couch since it wouldn't fit through my (new) apartment doorway, but alas, the day (and my couch) was saved by this great service. The woman who took my call was very friendly and helpful. I called in the morning (on a Sat.) and they were able to send somebody in just a couple hours. Highly recommended.

My husband and I hired Basic Assembly to assist with taking apart our very large sofa. Daphne was easy to deal with over the phone and scheduled the appointments at the old apartment and the new apartment at convenient times. Oliver arrived on time and took apart the sofa, removing one arm. He was pleasant and did the job with ease. We measured the elevator and couch together and felt all was well. On the day of our move, the couch did not fit in the elevator. I called Daphne and Oliver in a panic. Daphne called me back promptly and offered a solution - Oliver could come to my old apartment and take off the other arm, but I would have to pay for the cost of transporting the couch to the new apartment. I agreed to pay the additional fee and Oliver arrived with the couch that evening (the same day as our move - in the pouring rain). He began to put the couch back together but as it was very late, we sadly disturbed one of our new neighbors. Oliver immediately stopped work on the couch and agreed to come back in a few days. He did come back and the couch is back together. All in all, they made a very stressful situation calmer. They were professional, reliable, reasonably priced, and I would highly recommend them if you have the unfortunate task of needing to disassemble a couch.
