This place is great. I've been there a few times and the food is always delicious. The lobster is freakin' incredible as is the crab. Until it reopens, I will find Manhattan to be a lonelier, darker place. Curse the bastardo who let that crane fall. Curse him!!!

Pros: The food man. The food! And the wine.

Cons: Very small. Get there early if you want a quick seat. Otherwise, expect a wait.

Very pricey if you go very hungry but it is awesome service, awesome food, and AMAZING Sangria. It is also an awesome atmosphere. I definitely recommend it!

Pros: Atmosphere, sangria, everything

Cons: prices

I wasn't sure what to expect when my girlfriend and I ventured into this intimate yet bustling spot on 2nd Ave, we'd passed it countless times and were wondering when, if ever, it was going to open... but we were repeatedly impressed and sometimes awed throughout the evening. My girl fell in love with both the taste and texture of the spicy yellowfin tuna on crisp seared yuca, and I was equally taken by the opulent preparation and multi-dimensional flavor profile of the arctic char. The chef's unique concepts flow throughout the meal here, very cool spot and we'll definitely be back soon.

Chef Mitgang prepares outstanding dishes that range from sweet to spicy to salty. Everything we ordered was amazing and the presentation was impeccable. The restaurant has a cozy, chic ambience that is inviting and comfortable. The are no heirs about this place; just honest, delicious food. From the appetizers to the special dessert (which was the perfect ending to our meal!), this restaurant certainly leaves you "craving" for more!

Editor's Review

Do take the acid at this fresh, fun fish bar, where everything is (un)cooked in the style of south-of-the-border ceviches.  See the full editorial review.
