We were referred to Felicitas by a friend who hired her. We had never worked with a designer before and were overwhelmed by the process of renovating and decorating. We are so happy we decided to work with her for so many reasons. Not only is she incredibly personable, reliable and experienced, she always made us feel like she truly cared and listened to all of our needs and requirements. Her ability to execute is impressive and her approach to budgeting and delegating is amazing. Her taste is impeccable and we were continually impressed with her ideas and suggestions. We will definitely refer her to anyone we know who is looking for a designer, with great confidence that she can help anyone reach whatever results they are looking for, no matter what the scope of the work is.

Its been nearly 5yrs since FO Design transformed my pre-war 1-bdrm apt into the modern, sophisticated space I've always wanted. Living in Manhattan and needing much closet space, I gave her the challenge of creating a modern, (almost) minimalist apt for me to accommodate ALL my books, clothes, shoes, and accessories without sacrificing design and livable area. She showed me floor plans and innovative ways to maximize my 850 sq ft apt. I was impressed by her ability to design like an artist (relationship and usage of color, light, fabric, texture, and layout) and execute her ideas like a technician (floor plans, specs, organization, timing, etc) ... A GREAT COMBINATION! I think is it much harder to design a clean, modern, yet comfortable home when every visible thing matters. Well, 5yrs later, I still LOVE the space she designed and would consult with her again when I am in need of change or a major makeover. Highly recommended!

I had just purchased and barely moved into my new CONDO in lower Manhattan. After spending a lot for my new apartment I did not have much left to decorate it but soon realized that I needed help making choices. Felicitas came and helped me with everything, even though my budget for the 2 BR was only $ 30,000.00, far less I am sure than any of her other projects. She charged me a flat rate of $ 3,000.00. For this fee she came and measured, took pictures of the apartment and the few items I already had and then came back with a very professional looking floorplan, a budget spreadsheet and images of furnishings I could then purchase myself in retail stores. She even brought large color swatches for the walls. She listened to my preferences and I could not be happier with my new home. The whole process took less than 2 weeks and I am thrilled. When I called her I was a little unsure if she would even talk to me or take on such a small project. She never made me feel unimportant or that my budget was meaningless. I love coming home and walking into my apartment now and would use here again any time!!!!

Pros: took on small job, Felicitas is super nice!!! Got it done quickly.

We are an electrical contractor and recently had the pleasure of working with Felicita on a lighting project in Manhattan. The job was managed perfectly by Felicita; she knew exactly where and what her client wanted and respected our recommendations on running the electrical wiring. No time was wasted on the job because all the parts/ fixtures were delivered on time as promised, and she always made herself available for any questions we had. We will definitely refer her to any of our clients when they need a designer toplan their project.

Felicitas was great to work with. Our apartment was very narrow and was lacking in closet space. Felicitas was very creative in her approach and she was able to maximize our use of space. She is highly competent and has a great sense of taste. We are incredibly happy with the results. Oh...and she was always on time and on budget.

My husband and I have worked with Felicitas on our apartment and home. We found her to be easy to work with as she guided us through paint colors, furniture styles and fabrics, fixtures and rugs. She is realistic, patient, and has great vision to bring some interesting elements to each design. We have recommended her to friends who have also been happy working with her She is a great resource.

Felicitas has helped me with the interior design of four Manhattan apts; from Pre War to the ultra modern Downtown by Stark. She has shown creative versatility and has solved a multitude of design challenges in these various interiors. Ms. Oefelein has also done a fantastic job helping me put together my medical office. She has created a calm, serene environment within a space that quite often can be sterile, cold and uninviting. Quite often, my patients comment how comfortable and cozy they feel in my examination room!! Quite the unusual!! Felicitas has a gift for design, a keen eye for detail and exquisite taste! I highly recommend her for any project, large or small. I can trust her to get the job done - expediently, professionally, within budget and with amazing results. On a personal note, she is very personable, witty and has to be one of the most optomistic individuals I have ever worked with!!

Felicitas helped us renovate our 2 bedroom apt in Brooklyn Heights. She managed to let us stay within budget, and had amazing suggestions for our gut renovations. We took down walls, took out entire bathrooms, and removed all of the old wood floor. We wanted a loft like feeling to our apt and she delivered. Felicitas was amazing being able to accomidate our schedules to meet with us on off hours and sit patiently as she listened to our visions. Now we have our dream home within steps of Manhattan. We can only highly recommend her as her taste is exquisite and she's someone who will truly listen to what you have to say.

My new love moved into my apartment and hated my decor. He said it was too stiff, too formal and too white. He wanted comfortable and more casual. I wanted elegant and sophisticated. Felicitas came to our rrscue! She was.highly recommended by a close friend and we were immediately impressed. She listened to our story and was able to satisfy both of our visions. She worked within our budget guidelines and often suggested changing the color of the cabinet, versus buying a new cabinet. She designed some built ins and even some furniture for us. We now live in a beautiful, comfortable, elegant --yet casual and warm apartment !

We worked with Felicitas / FO Design on our Tribeca home. From construction through to furnishings, Felicitas has an exceptional taste level and was wonderful to work with. She was always attentive to our suggestions as she formulated the aesthetic vision. Felicitas is current, versatile and passionate about what she does. We highly recommend Felicitas / FO design as she truly makes the design process very enjoyable. We love the outcome of our loft and continuously receive wonderful compliments. We look forward to our next project together.
