I love this place! Amazing assortment of delicious dishes...easy to share and perfect for a date or a group of girlfriends out for dinner. I love the olive, cheese, and pita assortment each table receives when you first sit down. And the cookies (also on the house) that you get once you pay the bill are amazing! The honey one is my fave ;)

I hate when users write in all CAPS like the below. Anyway, I've been to this location with coworkers a few times, and as a group we've always had great service. However, the main reason we continue to go back is because of the delicious Greek food and well made drinks. The atmosphere is nice as is the entire staff. Highly recommended!

AS A REGULAR FRIDAY NIGHT CUSTOMER I HAVE SEEN THE DECLINING QUALITY IN FOOD AND SERVICE. THEY ARE OVERWHELMED BY GROUPS, DISORGANIZED AT BEST. I ASKED FOUR TIMES FOR A DRINK AND FINALLY WENT TO THE BAR TO GET IT MYSELF. STARTED WITH GREEK APPETIZERS. KEFTEDES(MEATBALLS) WERE SALTY AND SOUR. GRILLED CALAMARI TURNED OUT AS SAUTEED AND FISHY TASTING, THE MIXED SPREADS(PIKILIA) WERE SKIMPY AND NOT UP TO PAR. BY THEN WE DECIDED NOT TO ORDER THE MAIN DISHES. FOR THOSE KNOWING GREEK FOOD THE PLACE IS NOT GOOD. THIS IS GETTING WORSE. WE HAVE BEEN THERE QUITE A FEW FRIDAY NIGHTS, WHILE THE ATTRACTION IS THE FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE MUSIC, WE ALSO EXPECT GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE FOR THEIR PRICEY TAB. WILL TRY IT ONE LAST TIME.

Pros: INVITING ATMOSPHERE

Cons: BAD SERVICE AND MEDIOCRE FOOD.

I can't say enough great things about Kellari's Parea - I organized a 25+ person (including kids) lunch party which was flawless thanks to the wonderfully caring and attentive staff. I couldn't have asked for a better event. The food was delicious and the service was thoughtful. In addition to the perfect meal and service, the space is lovely - airy and gorgeous and on the weekends, they have live jazz. I recommend it for large an small groups - great food, very good value, a lovely experience. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect way to celebrate my birthday.

We had a female waitress on sat nite. She was horrible. Forgot to put our order in. Messed up our drinks twice. Truly an amatuer! When the food arrived, it arrived at different times and was cold. Must have been sitting around for a while. We truly hated this place.

Pros: nice room

I have been to this restaurant 3 times now and it really is extremely tasty, great quality and has unique Greek specialties. I highly recommend getting a bunch of different appetizers to share. The Greek salad is very fresh, the shrimp in tomato with feta is awesome, the fish is very fresh and tasty. Even the olive and oil and cheese they give you with the bread at the start is AMAZING! perfect spot for a group dinner with friends or family!

I went to Kellari Parea last weekend and had a totally forgetful dining experience.I ordered yesterdays lamb which was tasteless and overspiced.I should of been leery of any place were chef writes a review for his own restaurant on citysearch.

My friend took me for lunch two weeks ago at Kellari’s Parea and it was love at the first sight. The food was amazing, I had the whole fish which was to die for. So I had to bring my family for dinner. The manager told me about the Friday nights that they have live Greek music. I am third generation Greek so I took my Grandfather with me to show him my discover. He was crying when he heard the music cause remind him of his youth in Greece. We had the Yesterdays Lamb which was so tender that you can actually cut it with a fork! We stayed for four hours in the restaurant and we did not want to leave. Great job and thank you for the hospitality.

Went with my boyfriend this past Friday night. Had reservations. I've been living in nyc about four years and have been to a wide range of restaurants. The service here was the best that I have received from any restaurant in nyc. Seating was prompt and waiter was very friendly and attentive, even providing a tasting of two wines for us to select from. Were given complimentary bread and olives. We chose to order one entree (the Yesterday's lamb) to share and 3 appetizers (tzatiki, octupus and spanakopita), as per watiers request. All were fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff seem very passionate about the new restaurant and truly interested in receiving feedback from their patrons. I left very full and happy! Will be going back soon.
