Not Worth It

I had an appointment in the area, and read some nice reviews for this restaurant which were written closer to the time they first opened. I went this past summer and ordered the Peking Duck. It was NOT GOOD. I have had better up in the Bronx and Westchester. They carved the duck at the table, but seems they took most of the good stuff (the crispy skin) back into the kitchen, and we never saw it again. The pancake was thick and bland and had a poor quality to it. They put little pieces of duck and a tiny amount of skin on top of this big pancake which overpowered the small portions of duck. I was so unhappy and I spent the whole week before telling my daughter who had never eaten Peking Duck, how delicious it was going to be. The dim sum was mediocre as was the coconut pudding served in a coconut shell. It was just like coconut jello with no actual pieces of coconut in it. My daughter did not like it and it was expensive, as was the duck. I only forced myself to eat it as I was paying. Worst of all, the ambiance was very poor-the floors and walls were dirty. Worst of all there was a big mirror on the whole wall and it was not nice and clean, making the place seem like a dive. I would never return to this place for Chinese food. The service too, way below par-unfriendly and cold.

Bad sanitary, not fresh foods, I have diaxxhea. I wonder if i ate something bad in red egg.

High class restaurant low class employee.especially hostess.

you will walk away disappointed .

I think red egg should shut down the business. cause is not professional.

NO AUTHERTIC PERUVIAN FOOD

Wasn't impressed to be honest.

Here's the good Decor is nice considering the other places around the area.

-No Authentic Peruvian Food Here. but the dim sim it was ok . more better than other places.

-No waiters around

-Horrible hostess-----It's not her work that bothers me; it's her attitude. she really mean, not friendly , not smile at all with sad face all the times.

We came to red egg for fun and relaxing. not for those mean face, atitude or sad face her face show like her family is die or something ...........

Won't come here anymore .

ONE WORD RED EGG : NAUSEATING

Service was crappy, Mean face host, and the foods is plain. I'm not that fussy of an eater. the foods is no tasted at all. ....surprise when i in the middle of eating my entree, bit into a piece of beef it's really salt. I only have one word for the foods at RED EGG : Nauseating.

The beef was dry in some spots and undercooked in others.

The only reason I settled for this place by the way, was because there were good reviews for it on citysearch.

I KNOW NOW THAT THERE IS NOTHING CALLING ME BACK FOR MORE FROM THIS PLACE..

WHAT A HORRIBLE RESTAURANT

I Rating this place a #0 STAR..

-Food was oily / Everything is pretty greasy

-Food was not as good as other place

-The plates were greasy & unwashed

-the place is dirty & disgusting

-service don't speak english

-Food take so long

I ordered a orange beef and more it was raw on inside .

This place is perfect if you are looking to get mediocre dim sum, mediocre entrees or food poisoxxxg

This place is horrible . If the food is good and fresh, I really don't care the price...........but this restaurant is sxxk............

poor foods, service,.....

The foods is very plain nothing special . expensive foods, mediocre entrees, no coffee, bored tunes and the services is horrible. the important is the foods is not fresh we went home got sick. the decor is horrible too ,not chinese or america style.

Won't come here ever again.

Wasting my money , went home got sick ............Fxxk You red egg go to hell . you should close the restaurant please Don't make customers sick again, ........... i think you should need to go to business school to learn how to make the foods clean and how to do the restaurant.(cause you have none of experience at all )

Bad service, MSG Foods

Unfortunately, i was disappointed with this place. I really don't wan't to rating this restaurant .

This place they charge fancy prices for mediocre food and poor service.

It was crowded but it doesn't mean to neglect your customer.

especially that skinny girl around 19 years old services. she wear a black shirt ,she bring couple glasses water to our table with mean face.

It have to take a long time for the food arrive to the table. and those food is not our table order . after that i asked one of waiter that waiter was given a quick insincere sorry and that was it we waited for couple hours for no nothing.......the service was just rude and gets worse with each visit..

This place virluallly had no customer service. this place has gotten worse and worse. and the food is over seasoned and too salty, I suspect this is the result of using MSG: the pork fried rice was the worst I ever had in my life.

I usually went to 5 mott st (between chatham sq & mosco st) 212-566-8388 this place is pretty good they serve dim sum too. Red Egg cannot compare to that place cause that place in 5 mott st the food is fresh and especially the price is cheap .

Horrible services .and MSG foods.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Red Egg people are stupid

I called in to order uncle ts beef that cashier guy told me to wait for couple more min, cause he cannot find that item on system. so i wait for like around 20 min he still cannot find that item, so i just decide to cancel it . cause my lunch time only have one hour and i areally spend the 20 min for no nothing i think that's why that place got low score. ..........
