Excellent - Got the Job!

I am so excited, I just got the position I was going for!

I was not in need of a new job but recently had an opportunity presented to me and was not prepared as I haven't interviewed for years and had a dusty resume. I looked at other consultants who were charging ridiculous prices. Melisa was not only affordable but extremely helpful and did not try to stretch me into doing a dozen sessions but gave me what I needed in just three!

I got the job yesterday and was also told how impressed they were by my interviewing skills and correspondence. I was also able to negotiate using the techniques we discussed and received 13% more than their initial offer!

Nothing bad to say - fantastic!

Rescued my Resume in a Day!

I needed to work one on one with someone in Manhattan to update my resume for an interview I had the next morning. Melissa dropped everything to help me and aside from the service being a little pricier than I expected it was exactly what I needed. She knew exactly how to change it to what it needed it to be and I could have never done it on my own or had the time to use an online service. Highly recommended!

Got a discount on an hour interview prep from my friend who referred me. Didn't think I really needed it but it definitely helped me realize how I could improve and every little bit counts these days. Nice experience.

Great Tips - Enjoyed my Session

Melisa is a lovely consultant and a pleasure to get help from! I am not a suit guy and needed an ensemble for some events coming up. She worked with the salesperson to pick out some great stuff and then helped me figure out what was really worth buying. Excellent eye and had some interesting tips along the way.

Would have given her five stars if I didn't go to the wrong office location as a result of her old address being posted on this site (it's since been changed).

Fashionable Consultant - Pleasant Experience

Got a referral to Melissa from my friend who had her closet overhauled. I had the most disorganized closet for a long time and kept buying new things instead of looking for what I had. When I came home my closet looked very swanky. All my clothes were organized in "clusters" as she likes to say. She had a bunch of things that she suggested I let go of and made me a list of what she thought I could use. I wish I had something else for her to do as she is very nice to be around.

Melissa: sorry this review is so late. I was away the last month.

Exceptional Experience

Melisa answered a tricky question for me on the allexperts site and I emailed her telling her I needed to brush up on some specific social etiquette skills but didn't have the time to schedule a session.

She set up a (reasonably priced) package where online I was able to roleplay and find out what to say/do in certain situations.

It was well worth it now that I can face these situations with confidence. I hope to use her as an Image Consultant when I have a gala to attend. I find it quite impressive that her services combine both Image and Etiquette advice. She is not intimidating (like Stacy) but rather very down to earth.

Interview Rehearsal - Really helped!

I had a session with Melisa where she looked over my resume, my interview wardrobe and went over typical questions relating to my field (construction material sales). I thought I was prepared but my session with her made me really iron out the wrinkles and see what I could improve. For the cost of one session my confidence increased tremendously and I was able to interview with far less anxiety.

She is friendly, knowledgeable and really helps!

I sought out a Image Consultant in New York to help me for some interviews I have coming up. I wanted someone who could make wardrobe recommendations and also go over some interviewing techniques. I was out of town on business and Melissa agreed to coordinate with me via email, telephone and with my wife. She spent more time than what we agreed to and made no mention of it. I have an outstanding interview wardrobe and am very confident and have already done well at my first interview. I think her service is undervalued and perhaps she should specialize in interviewing techniques rather than making her business so broad.

• Cons: Not the least expensive... but worth the cost.

Valuable Advice - Fun Time

I am a young female professional in New York and although I am no slob, I was never really taught proper dining etiquette. I noticed that when I was around my peers that they seemed to look at me odd at dinner meetings and I wondered if it was the way I was eating or something else. When I sought out an etiquette consultant I was shocked to find that there are hardly any (qualified) consultants in the city. Bullseye was one of the only places I found that offered consulting services including etiquette so I called and Melisa was happy to arrange a lunch where she would explain proper dining etiquette. I was actually astonished how much I didn't know and how much better I would feel when I didn't have to worry about if I was doing things right. She was pleasant and knowledgable and I would recommend any women in my situation to book a lunch with her.

• Cons: Consultant is young and her looks were intimidating at first

Amazing Creativity & Organization!!!

Melissa did a closet analysis for me after much prodding. It is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I have a maid to clean the house but she doesn't get into my closet and really organize things. I wasn't sure who to contact but then I read about Melissa doing it for someone and I figured I'd try it out. She gave me a color analysis but I pretty much knew my colors already. I trusted her with my closet and returned three hours later to an amazing organized, gorgeous space that I had no idea could exist! She incorporated some simple shelving (we had prior discussed) and arranged everything in such a way that I feel like I went on a shopping spree even though we didn't purchase one new thing! I knew she eliminated some items but nothing that I will miss as I don't remember them. I feel like I saved a ton of money because instead of going out and buying a new dress or outfit for work or for an evening out I can easily see the combinations of things I already have. She also gave me free advice on other image and etiquette items as I had questions and did not press me to schedule another session to find out the answers. I tried to tip her in addition to her hourly fee and she refused to accept the tip. She is a class act and obviously loves what she does and if you need this type of service she's the one to go to!
