Be afraid.

Be afraid, be very afraid. Dr. Mandel is an excellent surgeon, but he is more businessman than doctor. Dr. Mandel blatantly misrepresented the outcome of my surgery to sell his services. After a very disappointing outcome from my surgery, I went to see a different doctor and was told that I was not the "perfect candidate" Dr. Mandel claimed I was.

The office is very nice, including the massage chairs, but it's all part of the sales pitch. The office is a factory -- don't expect Dr. Mandel to spend much time really getting to know your individual situation. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor that's focused on providing quality care and not a doctor that's focused on building a marketing machine to make as much money as possible off anyone he can.

Why didn't I do this sooner?

I cannot recommend Dr. Mandel and his staff highly enough. Their high level of professionalism, expertise, and experience are obvious and make the entire experience very comfortable and stress free. After a very thorough evaluation process, Dr. Mandel explained in very clear detail what my options were, his recommendations, and all the pros and cons. I decided to have the PRK procedure and Dr. Mandel walked me through it every step of the way (which was much quicker than you would expect). He was spot on with detailing how my healing process would proceed and everything went according to plan. I could not be happier with the results. In fact, my wife decided to have Dr. Mandel correct her vision after seeing my results!

Thank you for giving me and my wife perfect eyesight.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Mandel to anyone considering laser surgery.

I can see!!

Mandel and his staff from the very start were friendly and professional. I did not feel like it was an Lasik factory. Mandel carefully evaluated me to make sure I was a good candidate for surgery. During surgery, I was informed of every step he was about to do so that I would be at ease. Within minutes, the surgery was completed. It was miraculous that I was able to look out the window and see everything clearly! Great doctor, highly recommended.

Exceeded Expectations

Had Lasik about a month ago here. Mandel and staff were all very professional. Didn't feel the "sales pitch". Was made aware of all the benefits and possible complications. The most thorough pre-exam I have ever gotten for anything. Post-op has been great as well. Results exceeded my expectations! Top notch doctor. Highly recommend.

Perfect Results and Great Professional Team

I just had the LASIK procedure done 2 days ago by Dr. Mandel and am thrilled to report that I now have 20/20 vision and zero discomfort in my eyes. WOW! After 20 years of wearing contacts and glasses I have perfect vision again and it feels wonderful. I've been thinking about doing LASIK for years and right now my only regret is not doing this sooner.

Dr. Mandel is the consummate professional while also being very patient and gentle throughout the process. His staff of technicians and assistants are also outstanding; everyone I interacted with was both professional and kind.

From the initial consultation (very thorough!), to the actual procedure, to the post-op exam, I always felt like I was in great hands. And clearly I was because the results speak for themselves.

I have already recommended Dr. Mandel to certain close friends and coworkers who have been following my progress and considering this for themselves. As I have told each of them, I cannot imagine that there is a better option out there for this procedure.

Absolutely fantastic results!

I was nervous about undergoing a LASIK procedure, but Dr. Mandel was terrific about explaining the process and alleviating my concerns. He and his staff are absolutely top-notch and deserve all the high praise given to them. I would enthusiastically recommend Mandelvision to anyone contemplating LASIK surgery.

Dr. Mandel gave me my vision back forever!

Having LASIK done was one of my biggest decisions of my life. Having bad vision for 15 years and wearing contacts for 10, it took me good 2 years to decide to have the surgery done. And let me tell you, it was the best thing I could of done for myself! Dr. Mandel made me feel so comfortable before and during surgery. The surgery went super quick with some minor discomfort, yet I was able to feel how gentle Dr. Mandel's hands were. I was able to see 50% better right after the procedure, I was amazed! By the next morning my vision was 20/20! The staff is amazing and very warm especially Nancy, she was the best.

My only regret is that I waited so long!

Choose doctors no more, Dr. Mandel is the only one, have a consultation and you will see by yourself.

Lasik

Dr. Mandel changed my life. I have always been quite blind. At one point, I made the mistake of buying dark glasses. If anyone moved them, I had to feel around various surfaces to try to figure out where they were. Finally, my husband convinced me to get lasik. That is when I found Dr. Mandel. He had the best reviews online, had won many awards, etc., but more than that, I knew two patients who had gotten lasik by Dr. Mandel some years ago and still had perfect vision. Going to Dr. Mandel's office was quite a different experience than any of the other offices I visited. His staff was prompt, courteous and very attentive. There was never a long wait and Dr. Mandel especially made you feel like he was going to really focus in giving you perfect vision - rather than treating you as a number. Over a year later, I am incredibly happy with my vision. I now have better than 20/20. Although Dr. Mandel is pricier than other doctors, for me getting the best for my eyes was the right choice. I would definitely recommend everyone who cares about their eyes and are scared about the whole experience to get lasik with Dr. Mandel. You won't regret it.

Vision correction surgery

A great experience. I have been an eye patient of Dr. Mandel's for almost 3 years. I am a former contact wearer and my eyes started to get aggravated and allergic to wearing contacts over time. Dr. Mandel never pressured me into surgery and allowed me to try other options while still wearing contacts to see if we could fix the issue. It became apparent that the Lasik surgery was the best idea for the long term health of my eyes. The procedure itself was a lot easier than I thought. My anxieties going in were worse than the actual procedure. Dr. Mandes' staff is very thorough and easy to work with.

Amazing results...

I've been using Mandel vision for many years and I've been extremely pleased with the results and the service by the doctors and staff. The pre op and follow up care was thorough and readily available.

I had PRK by Dr. Mandel with great results and I had another surgery 9 years ago with Dr. Odrich for a pterygium on my eye and I had great results. I was finally able to wear contacts after wearing glasses for 15 years.

Now I don't have to wear contacts and it's really helped my active lifestyle with skiing and triathlons.
