This place is for OLD TIMERS
by JohnJohnson88
How boring can a hotel bar get, just go to knave and find out for yourself. This place is for anyone 60 years old and above. Thiers no action except listening to that lame music they play. Its over priced, that is if you dont mind paying 15.00 dollars for a drink that tastes like an $8.00 drink from an Irish pub. There are 100's of better hotel bars, and bars in general that there is absolutely no reason to go to this lame place
- Pros: Old People. Lousy Music
- Cons: Rip OFF
Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring

This place is as exciting as a New York library. The music is weak, the patrons are old, and or tourists.
Would not reccommend this place to anyone
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Over Priced - Rip Off
Nice addition to the hotel, but very pricey and limited options

My experience at knave was okay. It had nice decor, the coffee was good, but the prices were very high. Nothing is available for take out, so it's stand up or sit down only.
- Cons: Limited selection and options / very expensive
This hotel coffee bar is great if you want to over pay for average coffee and betty crocker like muffins
by gloriaPerez1966
I am a local resident who's telling all who are reading that this place is the biggest RIP OFF in midtown. The service is slow, the coffee is average at best, the muffins taste like brownies you buy in the box at the super market. It's mostly sit down service, There is a small counter that can squeeze 4 people standing there. So plan on squeezing next to someone or plan on standing in on coming walk by traffic from annoying hotel guests. Starbucks is your best bet for coffee, pastries, fast service, take out and a fun enviornment to hang out in.
- Pros: Its great if you want to over pay for average coffee and slow service
- Cons: Baked items that taste like they are from a powder box mix
Over Priced Gimmic with below average coffee and muffins

The products are marginal, the prices are ridiculous and you would have to be a moron or a tourist to waste your money at this place. I reccomend going to the New Dean & Deluca across the street from the hotel on West 56th street Bet 6&7ave. ( same block as hotel ).
- Pros: OVER PRICED
- Cons: You cannot get anything to go
Only Good Coffee Above 14th Street

Finally, finally a great espresso in midtown. Every day I trudge to work and by 10am I am craving a proper shot, now at Knave I have found my salvation. Counter Culture coffee pulled by enthusiastic, knowledgeable Baristas. In addition I love the fact that I am not surrounded by throngs of people getting their 5 gallon cups of swill refilled to rush down the street. Instead, I sit in a beautiful environment with mellow music. For $3 what more can you ask for? Oh, and if your up to it, the croissant are decadent.
I also had a perfectly prepared Mojito one evening too. Hopefully it will never get as busy as the nearby burger joint does. At least one Starbucks should be closed by the arrival of Knave.
- Pros: Perfect Java, Great Vibe, Lovely Staff
- Cons: Addiction Is Inevitable

Indoor sidewalk espresso bar located in the theater district serves alcohol and prides itself on taking coffee as seriously as the Italians.
