Great place for facial and massage

I love this place; I have been coming to Dorit Baxter for the past 3 years. Even my mom is a huge fan of their European facials. They are very professional and the service is excellent. I always recommend them to my friends.

Always the best!

I have been a patron of Dorit Baxter Spa for over 20 years enjoying and benefitting from thier treatments. Yes, I have strayed and have gone to all the trendy, high gloss spas but none have compared with the professionalism and care of Dorit Baxter. Through the years they have evolved with the times but they have never forgotten it their core values of customer satisfaction, health and beauty.

Peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff

I planned a Girls Day at Dorit Baxter. They accommodated 6 girls for a facial and massage for a great deal. The staff was very friendly and the services are amazing. Each of us had a great experience and had no complaints (really). We all raved about how each of our massage therapist and facial person was very informative (as they should be), honest, and knew off hand where to concentrate just from the look of our posture and facial texture. We all came out relaxed and looking beautiful. To top it all off, we had coffee and tea w/ cookies in their lounge area. We definatley intend on returnng. Not only are the services great, but the products too. We all purchased the products and plan to have another girls day there. Who knows the next time we'll include a pedicure and manicure.

Beter hope you don't have a death in the family!

I had to cancel an apointment I had made only a day earlier because my flight out for my cousins wedding had been canceled and I had to schedule an earlier flight. When I called to reschedule they told me they had to charge me the full price becuase they have a no cacelation policy even though I had made the apointment less then 24 hours earlier! Not only were they completely unwilling to be flexible they were VERY rude to me! I don't know about you but I'm going to spend my money somewhere that practieces customer service!

best massage

I went for the Triple Treat - facial, scrub, and massage. The first two were with Katya My skin felt smooth. My face has been very dry but this left it very moist and supple. The massage with Debbie is what left the greatest impression. It was likely the best I've ever had. In addition to perfect pressure and nice long strokes against my back, she paid attention to detail. For example, when she lifted away the blanket to massage my leg, my lower arm was exposed so she rolled the sheet from the bed around and wrapped it around my arm to keep it warm. I feel asleep till it was time to turn over. I was so well rested, I felt like I had been there a while. I was also pleasantly surprised to not see marks on my face from sleeping face down on that donut pillow. I think it's because of the softness of the towel and the tissue they lined it with. There was no pressure whatsoever to buy products. And that brown fleecy blanket during my massage was soooo soft.

I rely on Dorit Baxter..

I have black spots & bad acne on my face, and also weak skin. Now, I've been to Dorit Baxter many times already and they are my lifesaver... I always have the Sports facial, and they get rid of black spots immediately! Also, they use natural lotion and cream, so it doesn't irritate my skin at all.

Their massage is FANTASTIC as well. I felt so comfortable and fell asleep right away! I definately recommend this SPA as the BEST place in NYC!

Loved it, loved it!

I had one of the spa packages that included a manicure, paraffin wrap, facial and sea salt scrup. Let me just first say that the sea salt scrub was amazing. It was by far one of the most relaxing and professional spas I had ever gone to. I would also say that they are a bit cheaper than other spas out there. Now mind you, you will be sending a couple hundred bucks there but it's worth every minute and every penny!

The only thing I think they could improve upon is the time delay between services. I am not one of those people who likes to sit around for hours in a robe... i like to get my stuff done, relax and go home. So, if you do come for a spa service, know that you are going to be there for a long while... practically the whole day. But trust me, it is definitely worth it! I love the place and can't wait to go back.

Dorit Baxter the best spa in NYC with the most amazing massage therapist, nail technicians and staff.

For the past 3 years I have been going to Dorit Baxter on 57th St. for my birthday. This year I decide to upgrade my package from the usual Body Beautifier to the Chill Out package. I spent the whole day at the spa. I was treated like a queen for a day. The ladies catered to my every whim. The place was clean and cozy. I got a parrafin facial, a body scrub, a mud wrap, a manicure and a pedicure. I even had a lunch of my choice served to me. I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday. While getting the facial I was told what I needed to do to keep my skin in healty condition. The products that were used on my face was explained to me and I was given an opportunity to puchase them. I left the spa feeling like a brand new baby. My skin was soft. I left there looking vibrant and youthful. I enjoyed myself so much later that night I went out to dinner and struck up a conversation with a woman whom I never met, at Bennihanas and told her of the experience I had at the spa. She was so impressed she asked for the number and made an appointment as we waited for our food to be prepared. I strongly recommend this spa in particular because you get a lot for your money. I look forward to going back for Mothers Day with my daughter who is also a fan of the spa.

You will feel like you are walking on air!

I visited the DoritBaxter New York Day Spa for many years, and I'm never disappointed. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by the lovely staff who are so organized, you know you are in for a treat. I've received body treatments (Salt Scrub is the best) from Jean who is warm, pleasant and very efficient. I've had massages by 2 therapists there, and they are both amazing. You want high quality service at a fabulous spa? Book your appointment immediately with Dorit Baxter, you will not regret it for a moment!!
