Great Dining Experience

I stopped by for dinner here after River2River and was just taken away by this place. The service and the food were great, and pretty affordable such a beautiful space for the World Financial Center. I can't wait to come back!

Perfect spot in Nice Weather

This place has a great outdoor cafe along with nice indoor seating and bar. Especially nice on days with good weather, when you can fully appreciate the view of the river. I love bringing people here, and have enjoyed every meal at this place. Definately worth checking out.

Good Location and That's About It

Southwest gets by on its location. It's got the best views of any eatery in World Financial Center and it takes advantage of its captive audience of workers. They stay in business because it's the most convenient place to go after work. The food is only ok, but nothing exceptional. The wait staff seems a litte overwhelmed and getting refills can be tedious. They get a little surly at times, too. The worst part is that the inside smells like a dirty college bar. There's a stale beer smell like someone spilled booze on a rubber floor and never cleaned it up. It always stinks in there.

every dish was perfect

Just took my mom there this past weekend for her SW. It was recommended by a friend of mine. They have a nice location. We had two starters , the calamari and pork tacos. The calamari were definitely the best I've had. Very tender and fresh on the inside, and tasty on the outside. We tried two different main dishes, the pumpkin ravioli and skirt steak. They were all very good. All dishes had great presentation. To finish up we had a pumpkin cheese cake for desert.

The service was very good and the staff very friendly. We didn't have to wait too long for our dishes. Throughout the meal they kept the table clean by cleaning up after each course. The setting was quiet and dim, great for a family gathering or romantic dinner.

What a view!!

This place has the most amazing view in NYC!! During work hours I go to the retail area and pick up a salad and snack, always fresh with great customer service. After work, I go for the bar and the view. It's the perfect spot to chill out after work.

AMAZING MARGARITAS!

I went there last week for the 1/2 Price Drink Promo. It was amazing. All I had to do what sign up for their mailing list and show the promotion to the bartender. They have the best margaritas... and for 1/2 price, they are even better. The staff there is great, all of the hostesses are so friendly and willing to above and beyond. I am very excited that they decided to keep their promo through the rest of the month. I plan on going back!

Delicious with a Beautiful View

The food is so great here. The prices are amazing. The service is unbeatable. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning, especially at night with all of the boats and lights. Delivery is quick and convenient.

Avoid

Me and some co-workers went out to enjoy a nice lunch outside. We get there and we are told 25 minutes for a table outside, understandable, so we go and eat inside. Food sucked. Had some pizza and it was horrible, tons of cheese on a tortilla slice with no sauce. There is nothing special about this place, best go to Pizza Hut, at least you don't have to pay 3 dollars for each additional fountain drink refill. What a joke. Stay clear of this train wreck.

Great venue for a bad "restaurant"

I went there for lunch today and was dissappointed. I ordered the wild mushroom pizza and the last time I checked WILD mushrooms didn't come sliced in a can. The pizza was a couple of tortillas, a smigeon of pesto, a ton of cheese with canned mushrooms. It was not good. My friend's chicken sandwich was decent though.

Also, to the point below they actually charge you for refills on well drinks! Seriously! Where else does that? You pay $3.50 for a glass of ice and some syryp/water mixture and you'll pay that again when you get a refill. We weren't told and I'm sure this is for a reason. It's not a lot of money but the princpal.

In summary I would say that this place is good for drinks after work in the summer but eat somewhere else before you go. I would have given it a three star rating were it not for the charging for refills on well drinks.

• Cons: There are a hundred restaurants within walking distance with far, far superior food.
