Suddenly closed for renovations - awful customer service
by smmnyu
I booked a party here two months ago for my birthday and thought I had found the perfect venue for karaoke. I confirmed a week and a half ago with Morgan and received a second confirmation. However, this past Friday, I received a strange voicemail from Pulse saying that my party has been cancelled because the venue is now closed for renovations! No one ever mentioned that renovations were going on. I've been trying to get in touch with someone there for days, and the phone keeps going to voicemail. They will not pick up the phone, or return messages I am very worried, and I have 25 people coming to a party and NO VENUE! I highly recommend that you steer clear of this place - this is awful customer service, and very shady.
Pulse Karaoke Sued For Using Stolen Music?
by JoeObtuse
Pulse Karaoke has been named in a lawsuit alleging that the karaoke music they use may be pirated, or in other words stolen.

Great place!

I got a deal at Pulse to celebrate my friend's birthday. Everything went perfect and the service was beyond our expectations. Right from the moment I was making the reservation, Pulse seemed to genuinely care about our visit and asked us detailed questions of our requests to make sure they had everything we needed prior to our visitation. They do have a dress code but I don't really think it's a big deal because it seems like it's for our own good. In NYC there are a lot of sketchy people out there and Pulse tries to filter out those people for safety issues. They have unlimited alcohol service for the hours you are staying and Rockband for those who aren't ready yet to sing in front of people.
The worst place ever!

The service is rude! They refuse to play hip hop even though its in their books and do not tell you but take your money. The drinks are water down, oh and did I say the service was RUDE! Hip Hop Fans please do not Patronize this establishment!
Great place for girl's night out
by keroro
Had a great night with my friends last week. Definitely enjoyed the whole upscale atmosphere without paying the price. They offer great packages which is a great deal if you are planning to drink more than once as just by paying 30 dollars each you would have your own private room and unlimited drinks for two hours. I like that Pulse has a dresscode and bouncers. It makes the experience so much more fun as it gives my friends and I an excuse to dress up! The service is great and the people there are really nice and accommodating.
Exciting Place for your party!

There is one word for me to describe this karaoke place; awesome!! I'll give you three reasons;
First off, this place has a perfect location! This is in Times Square neighborhood so you won't get lost.
Second, all the staff are really nice to you. They'll give you the best party night, which you can never forget!
Third, The place and all karaoke stuff are really neat! you don't want to miss out this well-cleaned suits and lounge!
Great Place to Go with Friends, Great Deals
by ThatGuyJoe
I came here a few days ago with a large group of my friends. They set us up with a private suite, which was awesome because after a few drinks I'm not the best singer :). The drink selection was really good, especially for a place that focuses on entertainment. They offer an awesome deal through NookOut (www.nookout) that let's you get 2 hours all-you-can-drink for just $15.

I had my 31st birthday at Pulse last week. The place is great...called in advance to reserve a room. The event planner was really nice in making sure I was properly accommodated. I came in two weeks prior to see the space and the room I was getting. I had to narrow down my guest list since the largest room seated 15 people but it ended up working perfect since some of my friends were out of town. Our waitress was really nice and made sure to come in our room to check on us often. Overall my friends and I had an amazing time!
- Pros: Service, good pricing
- Cons: Private rooms are small
Summer Friday

I'm in charge of all the event planning in my company so my boss wanted me to find a place to take everyone in our company out of drinks. I decided to give Pulse a shot since we were around the corner. The place is soo nice! We didn't get a room since it was 35 of us. We ended up staying in the lounge which was perfect anyways. It was really crazy bc at some point we were playing Guitar Hero!! The pricing was really good since we didn't end up spending a fortune. Will definitely be back...
- Pros: Pricing, service
