Caused Damage, Didn't Take Responsibility DO NOT USE

Ben Hur moving was supposed to move some furniture into my apartment. Not only could they not move the furniture and then charged me extra for bringing the furniture back to the first location - they put a giant hole in the stairwell of the building. When I called them, they said they'd be happy to give an estimate for repairs. They scheduled to do the estimate, canceled and rescheduled TWICE - and have not followed up.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unreliable and caused damage to my building without taking any responsibility for the damage they caused.

DO NOT USE THEM.

Warning DO NOT USE this moving company

WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They are LIARS and INCOMPETENT.

I called Ben Hur moving a week before our move and they were able to give me a quick quote. I asked on multiple occasions if they had enough insurance to qualify because my building had a strict insurance policy requirement. The salesman on the phone promised me that they had over 10M in coverage and that it would not be a problem. The next day I followed up with my building to see if they received the certificate of insurance from Ben Hur and was upset to hear Ben Hur had not sent the COI. I called Ben Hur only to be passed around to various people who told me I would need to speak to someone else. Finally, I got in touch with the person in charge of insurance who promised to send the COI. The next day I received a call from my building manager who informed me that Ben Hur did not meet the minimum insurance requirement. I called Ben Hur again and got the run around once more. I was sent to 3 different voicemails and even got hung up on twice. When I eventually got through to the guy who handles insurance once more he swore it was impossible that they didn't have enough coverage and that it had to be a misunderstanding. He promised me he would call the building manager to clear up the situation and call me back. I never got a call back. I left multiple voicemails and emails but no reply. Finally, on friday afternoon a day before my move date after numerous calls and speaking to 3-4 different people at Ben Hur, I finally got through to the person who handles insurance and finally got him to admit they did not have the coverage they promised they had and so they would not be able to move me into my building. Not only did they completely LIE, but rather than admit it right away and allow me time to find a new mover they LIED again and told me it was not a problem and they could clear it up. They never followed up with my emails or voicemails after a number of different people promised to resolve the issue for me. These guys left me hanging and just didn't give a crap.

Ben Hur Moving was a joy to hire as our movers. My husband and I did a search on moving companies in NYC and discovered Ben Hur Moving. Their employees worked efficiently and quickly.

A-OK! Experience with Ben Hur

had an OK experience with our NYC move uptown, but that is expected, they were decent, nothing broken, a little traffic in NYC but i guess that is expected. Im pretty happy and its hard to satisfy me.

Impressive services

Cheap, fast, friendly and clean! they have a luxury truck and i'm very happy they use it for moving all my things. i'm not surprise when my friend told me that Ben Hur has a great services. because they are!

Best Moving & Storage

The pricing for the transfer for a few item was a little over my expectation, however, it was worth it. Fast, safe, clean, and reliable. Very respectful employee movers. Thank you very much and I highly recommend your service to others as for I will use your service in the future.

It was beyond our expectations

This is a belated but sincerely felt appreciation for the professional

and able work performance that Geoffrey and his crew demonstrated on

July 2, 2011 for Fancelli Paneling Inc.

Our Estimate number was #67955, and we called to schedule an office

move from 24 E 64th Street in Manhattan to a storage facility in LIC,

Queens, on short notice.

We regret the delay in sending this email, nonetheless, the efficient

assistance and agreeable demeanor of Geoffrey and his crew is

memorable and deserves commendation. It was a hot day on a holiday

weekend, and your employees made our office move a fluid process

beyond our expectations.

Amazing service

We recently moved into our new apartment from the West Village to Brooklyn. It has been quite a busy summer and moving is never easy. Ben Hur was amazing they stayed true to their rate and provided three great movers who wrapped all of our stuff carefully and helped us settle into our new place. The last time we moved we were being charged by the hour and the guys rushed and threw our stuff around causing minor damage. Ben Hur had a flat price and took their time. They were with us from 9-5 and were unfazed by our quirky old apartment which was a pain to move out of. Thanks for taking care of our stuff!

Quick and good

Our team today, led by James Morales, was fantastic. These guys were really great and took very good care of our belongings while moving quickly. We really could not have asked for anything more.

Great work

I would like to thank Ben Hur for doing such a wonderful job. The crew was

just great and no damage was done to anything for the first time in many

moves done by other companies. I will not need to look for anyone else next
