Why Aren't You Already There?

I had my hair done by Jesse, formerly of Laicale, and this is the best cut & color I have ever had. The atmosphere is phenomenal-very cozy and crazy cool at the same time without a trace of attitude despite the serious credentials of all involved. I have difficult hair to put it mildly and Jesse gave me the best blonde of my life along with a fantastic cut that defies physics. Go there now.

Best Hair Cut and Color- and no 'tude
by rachelz3
I have thick curly/wavy hair, naturally deep dark brown (with gray!)- but Joseph makes me a fabulous blonde. My last salons include Bumble, Sally Hershberger, Ion and hard to admit this one- Cutler. Well I was only at Cutler because of Joseph, the colorist. I followed him from Bumble (where he taught colorists) and now to Blackstones. What a frikin relief. This little salon has a great vibe and eclectic décor and competent, talented staff. Joseph's probably embarrassed about all the TV makeover shows he's been on, (Make me a Supermodel, She's Got the Look etc.) but the color he does for me is unmatched- plus he's a very pleasant person. Joey, the owner and stylist knows how to cut thick curly/wavy hair. He gave me a cut that continues to delight me whether I am blowing it out straight or letting it air-dry in this frikin NYC humidity. My hair is now easy and beautiful, wearing it up or down- and it's also up to date and comfortable. I could not be happier. Add the lack of attitude and it's pretty much heaven.
I wish I could write a better review, to match how I really feel about my hair now. It's just a huge huge relief to find a place I can rely on to get my hair cut and colored and not have to put up with a load of caca as well.
