Heaven
by Jane Jonies
A beautiful, relaxing spa located in the heart of SOHO. I got a facial and massage here last month, and left feeling as though I had just spent a week at Atlantis. BuywithmeNYC is offering a massage/facial here for just $35 (a $95 value)! Check out the great deal here: htp://bit.ly/dynFHu
Urban Oasis Spa Pampers to a T
by Janie Ho
Trendy Soho sets the bar for many things: bars, food, and now...getting away from it all--city life included. Downstairs from its busy hair and makeup salon, Deva Spa is a calm oasis with a dark and inviting VIP lounge, flowing with lush fruits, citrus-infused water, hot teas, giant mixed nuts and veggie platters for guests.
My signature facial, $140 for 45 minutes, began with a warm-toweled bed, steam treatment, and ended with massage and complimentary products. The estheticians are gentle, informative and welcome feedback as they go to ensure comfort.
The luxury locker rooms are filled with plush robes for your visit, slippers, high-end organic amenities, elegant surroundings and fresh scented steam rooms to relax in prior to treatments (so you don't wear away special moisturizers, after).
With services ranging from $25 (eye makeup application) to $770 (full-day staycation), Deva's no-tip spa makes a daycation possible for those who need some piece of mind as much as a lash extension.
- Pros: Beautiful Setting, VIP Lounge, Refreshments, Staff
- Cons: Bit Pricey but that's normal
Citysearch Editorial Review
by Melanie Berliet
Between the trickling waterfall, lush green plants, organic products and neutral tones (curtains, walls and flooring are all warm shades between beige and bronze), Deva seems like a natural oasis. Upon arrival, customers are escorted to an immaculate locker room and offered a glass of tea or water. During treatment, knowledgeable estheticians are attentive and manage to address serious questions--about skin care, massage techniques and the importance of nurturing one's mind and body--without detracting from the calm of the experience. After their treatment, guests reenter the hullabaloo of Manhattan well-informed and more importantly, soothed.
