AVOID THIS LAWFIRM

I have never encoutered a lawfirm with such unprofessionalism, overbilling, and bad service. Elyse Goldweber was never in the office, never available to meet, did very poor work, and overbilled me by thousands of dollars. I had to retain another lawyer to fix poor work. I would NEVER ever use her or recommend her. If you are looking for extreme knowledge, advice, and reputable lawyers, DO NOT GO HERE.

Overbilling and Unprofessionalism

I came to this law firm for professionalism, expertise, and advice. What I got was just the opposite. i would not recommend this law firm to anyone. I was treated very poorly, overbilled by thousands of dollars, and had to go to another law firm to fix the mistakes of this law firm. OVerall, a very very bad experience. I have heard the same from several other people after this happened! I should have done more research before hiring them.

New York State Supreme Court

I retained Elyse Goldweber, Esq. as my attorney in divorce and custody proceedings in New York County in 1991. The issues that then exploded before me related to the swindle of all the marital assets by a third party, the removal of my two daughters from the jurisdiction of New York State, the filing of false criminal charges against me by my soon-to-be-ex-spouse alleging various misconduct and her filing of a fraudulent bankruptcy so as to launder the marital assets into the hands of third parties. Ms. Goldweber and her team took on the daunting task of representing me as plaintiff in divorce and custody proceedings in New York State Supreme Court and of defending me in various related matters tossed in my direction by the third party swindler. This Herculean task, which in the first instance lasted until 1998, was carried out with grace, dedication and toughness such that I can say today that I secured the divorce, sole permanent custody of my two children and have had some assets restored to me. As a father, the protection and care of my daughters has been paramount and that has been achieved primarily through the depth of knowledge, court-room acumen, basic sound judgment and commonsense displayed by Ms. Goldweber at all times. I have come to respect the human aspect of the advice received from Ms. Goldweber and Ms. Epstein over the years. They remain my attorneys today. Indeed, I have referred others contemplating divorce or threatened with one to Goldweber and Epstein, LLP and have learnt of the extraordinarily dedicated manner in which this law firm has represented my acquantainces. I believe Goldweber and Epstein, LLP to be the best family-law (including all of its ramification) law firm in New York City and recommend it with the highest enthusiasm possible.

Caring & Savvy Attorneys

Goldweber Epstein LLP offers so much more than just legal advice. Throughout my divorce process the entire staff has been caring and well informed of my case. Not only are the attorneys accessible and knowledgeable, they sincerely want to you to be satisfied with your case results. I dealt primarily with Nina and Elyse; they are both very savvy attorneys who held my hand throughout my entire case. Along the way, they simplified the issues, which enabled me to discuss many options with them. The other attorneys and support staff at Goldweber Epstein were always efficient and knowledgeable about my case. The firm made me very feel special like I was their only client - even though they represent many satisfied clients like myself! I think of them as my extended family as they help me survive a very emotionally draining process. I highly recommend Goldweber Epstein - they truly care and get the best results.
